22.01.2022 Hi everyone, We have had a number of enquiries about our upcoming events and we wanted to keep you up to date with where we're at. At this stage, all remaining events in our 2019/2020 race calendar will be proceeding as scheduled. This includes Triathlon Pink Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast Triathlon, Moreton Bay Triathlon and the 7 News Gold Coast Running Festival.... Queensland Health is currently advising there is no need to cancel any events or gatherings, or take additional precautions to normal practice. People who are unwell should not attend public events. However, it’s important to note the health and safety of staff, competitors, officials, and volunteers will remain our key priority at all times. As such, The Event Crew will be closely monitoring the situation over the coming weeks, and will heed any and all advice from relevant authorities and stakeholders including the Australian Government, Queensland Health and the World Health Organisation. The Event Crew will provide further updates as required and registered competitors will be the first to know of any change of circumstances. We appreciate that it's an uncertain time and participants are after answers however this is an evolving situation and we're managing it on an ongoing basis. 11.01.2022 We know you’ve been wondering what is happening with the upcoming Moreton Bay Triathlon, scheduled to take place on April 19th 2020. Due to the government advisory, the event will not be going ahead on the planned date - we are currently working with venues, councils, governing bodies and all interested parties to finalise a new date. All registered participants will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled date once confirmed and in the event that this new date doesn...’t suit, the option will be given to participants to join in any other The Event Crew event in the next season. We know that a lot of people will be disappointed that the event isn’t going ahead as planned (as are we!) however we want to make sure we prioritise the health and safety of not only you as our participants, but the wider community we impact including staff, contractors, suppliers, officials, volunteers, medical, water safety, venues staff, traffic control and police. As you can imagine, we have a lot of work to do to get our entry systems built and your registrations transferred over to the new date and are hoping to have this completed by the end of this week. We will be in touch again once this has been completed it will be at this time that you can then look at switching events should you need to. We appreciate all the support and understanding everyone has offered, we're certainly faced with some strange and unprecedented times!

07.01.2022 Thanks for being patient with us while we work through our processes to secure new arrangements for this years Moreton Bay Triathlon we have been overwhelmed with how supportive our triathlon community has been over the past week, in what has been the most challenging time we have faced as a business. We can confirm today that next season we will have TWO events at Moreton Bay. - The first event will be held as part of the Queensland Triathlon Series on Sunday 27 Septemb...er, 2020. This will remain as the 2019/2020 Nissan Club Championships. - The second event held at Moreton Bay will be our normal standalone Moreton Bay Triathlon event on Sunday 9 May, 2021. For those triathletes that had already registered for the April event, we have emailed you to confirm you have been automatically moved to the 27 September date and there is nothing you need to do. If September is not suitable, please reply to that email on [email protected] and we can move you in to the 9 May event. ** please note that we can't make changes based on comments below, email only please. If you are wanting to enter... we're just finalising the entry system build and will confirm once this is set to go. We hope these new dates give you some certainty about two of our upcoming triathlon events and gives you something to focus on in the coming months with some cooler temps coming our way, it’s a great time to keep moving and stay active. 06.01.2022 Update #2: Friday 13 March Hi everyone, As you’re all aware the situation with COVID-19 is evolving rapidly and the landscape for events has changed considerably within the last thirty minutes after the Prime Ministers national address.... We have taken the measure of putting a hold on taking any additional entries at this stage for our remaining events and we will issue a full position statement on Monday after the government directive is handed down on Sunday afternoon. Please rest assured we will look after you, we just don’t have the admin processes in place today to deal with refunds and transfers (yes, you will be given the option a transfer or refund for cancelled events should you wish).
