24.01.2022 "The spiritual path is not about perfecting ourselves but about perfecting our love for ourselves." Jack Kornfield We can so easily get sucked into perfectionist mindsets that keep us chasing after unattainable ideals. And I know personally and professionally that trying to perfect ourselves never leads to more joy, peace or sense of self worth... quite the opposite.... What if we stopped trying to perfect ourselves and started practicing loving ourselves more?! THERE ARE SO MANY MANIFESTATIONS OF LOVE: Patience Compassion Acceptance Forgiveness Appreciation Care Kindness and more... How do you want to practice loving yourself this week? Practicing all these forms of love is the guiding force in my counseling sessions. PM me for more details or book in via bio link.

04.01.2022 Misunderstanding is a part of human nature that really can't be avoided... But it (along with the problems that follow) can be rectified quickly if we get CURIOUS. Rather than defensive, indignant and angry, what if we dug a little deeper and wondered "What else could this mean?" The tricky part is we often don't realise we're misunderstand! ... The Yoga Sutras wrote about this human conundrum over 2000 years ago and tells is that while misperception (Avidya) is hard to see, the manifestations or branches of it are obvious. The four branches of misunderstanding are: + Ego + Aversion + Attachment + Fear When any of these show up, it's an indication we're not seeing clearly and that's our cue to get CURIOUS! In my holistic counseling practice I specialise in helping people get curious and dig a little deeper into what's under those behaviours and emotionals. And when we lift the veil of misunderstanding soooo many of our problems get resolved. Bookings via bio link.
