19.01.2022 What a review!!! Thanks so much @aussiewhiskeybloke Repost: aussiewhiskybloke ... Well for the next few days, I shall be reviewing something other than Whisky. It is nothing other than, home distilled gin here in Melbourne VIC, by Morgans Distillery here in the Yarra Valley. The distillery itself, well I for one, didn’t know existed. I just followed a sign on the Highway promising me Gin, Wine and Cheese! Now for the Gin Review. I have a predominant sweet palate, and this gin tasted like nothing I had ever had before. On the eye, this was a Rich Royal Purple liquid in an equally elegant bottle. On the nose I did get a very light hint of Juniper Berries but a bigger hit of blueberries and honey. The palate echoed what the nose found, with sweet blueberry, honey and juniper. I could not discern any other botanicals. This Gin was made even better with ice and tonic added to the glass. Giving me a solid summer arvo cocktail. This was a 10/10 for gin in my book.
