19.01.2022 The news we have all been waiting for! The Moriac Tennis Club has been given formal notice from Surfcoast Shire, that we are clear to reopen courts for social and formal play as per immediately! No decisions have been made by Tennis Geelong in regards to winter competitions as yet. Clubrooms and the Community Centre remain closed until further notice. Please note: The Moriac Tennis Courts are public courts and no bookings are required, however, please use your common sense, if the courts are full come back another time. Social distancing rules apply and please minimise contact with surfaces such as gates, nets and seating.

17.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE Due to the number of participants and spectators that we have at our matches, Tennis Geelong will follow the lead of Tennis Australia and suspe...nd all matches indefinitely (see attached). The information from TA was provided at midnight, so we are still working through what this means for finals, but we will provide more information once we have had further discussions with our governing body. We apologise for the short notice and the disruption, however, we have an obligation to our players and those that support our sport, and we believe we are acting in their best interest. If you have any questions relating to this, please contact your club representatives, and they can communicate with the relevant TG Secretary. 16.01.2022 Long overdue surface rejuvenation is underway today at the Moriac Tennis courts. Please do not use them until Monday to allow the surface to settle and the treatment to evaporate.

13.01.2022 Clean sweep yesterday! All junior teams won in the morning and both senior teams won in the afternoon. No better time to join this club of champions! Outstanding results, well done to all players and supporters.

07.01.2022 Emergency Fill in Players Wanted. Hi everyone! With the Summer season upon us, I'm putting together a register of those in our Club / Community who would like to be placed on an emergency fill in player register. It is a big commitment to play every week as we are all aware, so if you would really love to have a game every now and then, when it suits you, I invite you to send your details through to me to place on a register should any of our Tuesday midweek or Saturday teams be in need of a fill in for any games. Please provide your name, experience level and whether Tuesday midweek (10.30am - 1pm ish) or Saturday comp (1pm - 4ish) suits you. This way, we can send out a call if the need arises and it just may be a free day for you.

07.01.2022 The Tuesday ladies Section 9 team is looking for a fill in player for this coming Tuesday. The game is at our home courts and begins at 10am. Is anyone available to play? Great chance to try out the ladies midweek competition.
