15.01.2022 Paris Showgirl made a winning debut for the Anthony Freedman stable on Friday night taking out the Maiden Fillies & Mares 1300 metre event. It was the start of a good night for Freedman who trained a double on the card with his two starters. It was a good effort from the filly to sit wide like she did and brave it out to win said Anthony Freedmans Pinecliff Foreman Rebecca Smith.... There is still improvement to come with her, she is only first up so she is in for an exciting preparation. We have to thank Robert and Barbara McClure for sending us these lovely fillies to train and its good to get the results for them. Anthony will pick a path for this filly with the aim of getting her to win at city and black type level. Winner rider Michael Dee wasnt taking any credit for the victory after being post three deep during the running. I cant take any credit for that win, she jumped a length clear and I didnt want to be that positive so she ended up posted said Dee. She hit the front early in the straight, her ears were going back and forth so it was probably a blessing that one came up and pressured us. It was a good effort by the filly to kick on and win. Paris Showgirl is a Fastnet Rock filly out the Street Cry mare Za Moulin Rouge. She was bred by the McClures Morning Rise Stud.
