25.01.2022 Less than two weeks until the Opening Night of this years Mornington Art Show! Exciting additions this year include fantastic Silent Auction opportunities, a unique Barrel Art display and VCE Student artwork. Highlight of the silent auction is the Mornington BMW Yarra Valley weekend-a beautiful BMW car to drive to Chateau Yering, accomodation on Saturday night with a 3 course a la carte dinner for 2 at Eleonores Restaurant valued at over $750. Book your tickets now for a great night and support the Rotary Club of Mornington's major fundraising event for the year.

21.01.2022 Now open ....from 10am to 5pm daily until Australia Day. Many VIP's and artists on The Opening Night, Thursday, described it as the best yet, and there have been 48 ! Over $8000 was raised from the Silent Auction and all will go to Bushfire Relief. Many happy artists, buyers, and guests.

17.01.2022 Rotarians at Work Tickets for the Mornington Art Show Raffle are on sale every Wednesday and Saturday 10.30am-1.30pm outside Farrells Bookshop Crn Main and Barkly Streets, Mornington. Prizes include a Garden Package value $1,500, RM Williams clothing value $1000, Sailing Training Course for two value $600 and a Fit Bit package. Tickets cost $2 each and the raffle will be drawn January 26 at the conclusion of the Art Show with all proceeds to Rotary Community Projects.

16.01.2022 Our 2021 Art Show is proceeding - January 21 - 26. We will review COVID Restrictions in October and make any adaptations then.

16.01.2022 Mornington Art Show is held in January each year and displays 850 paintings for sale. Over 43 years, it has distributed almost $900,000 to local and international Rotary projects.



14.01.2022 Mornington Art Show 2016 feature artists Jayne Henderson and Eric Shepherd. Eric Shepherd is a locally based artist who has established himself as one of Australias leading wildlife artist. His interest and love of wildlife was the beginning of a journey into wildlife painting. Teaching himself to paint fur and feathers took many years of keen observation both in the wild and at local zoos and wildlife parks. Apart from doing small sketches on site he uses photographic references to complete his paintings in the studio. In 2012 Eric was commissioned by Maxwell Williams to depict birds of Australia for a series of bone china cups which are still available in stores around the world.

14.01.2022 Ready .....Set....Go ....the Peninsula Community Theatre is set up and ready to go, for Opening Night, tomorrow, Thursday night at 7pm. Over 300 tickets have been issued so far. The Catalogue is at the Printer with details of over 850 artworks, plus photography, glass and wind sculptures and acknowledging over 50 valued Sponsors. 100% of the Silent Auction funds go to Bush Fire Relief.

13.01.2022 MORNINGTON ART SHOW 2021 Plans for our 49th Art Show are well on the way, only three weeks until entry submissions open. Entries will open on Sunday November 22 and will close on Sunday December 20. We invite all Artists to be part of the show. Please note that Delivery to the Art Show will be Sunday January 17, 2021 with an extended time of 8:30am until 4:00pm. Photography will also be accepted for the 2021 Mornington Art Show.... 12.01.2022 The 2018 Mornington Art Show is indeed fortunate to have 23 pieces of spectacular hand carved & painted Tiwi Island work by artists from the Jilamara Arts & Crafts Association [Melville Island] as part of its exhibition from 19 January. Ranging in size from 27cm exquisite ironbark carvings of birds and Pukumani poles to almost 2m high Tutini Tokwampini the Bird carvings, these unique pieces of Aboriginal art are guaranteed to create much interest in this 46th Annual Mornington Art Show which is held at the Peninsula Community Theatre, Wilsons Road Mornington. Open daily from 10am to 5pm from Friday 19th to Friday 26th January.

10.01.2022 The fantastic 2019 Mornington Art Show is now open. We think it is our best with 874 beautiful paintings and photos on display. Leisa Wharington Glass Artist has a range of her work on display at the show.

09.01.2022 A Sky Hydrant, from Disaster Aid Australia, on display at the Art show and one of the projects supported by the Rotary Club of Mornington with funds raised. Its capable of converting 1000 litres an hour of dirty water into drinkable water in aid environments.

07.01.2022 Gala Opening Night THURSDAY JANUARY 16 from 7:00pm Our Gala Opening night is an exciting event to view all of the high quality paintings and photographs before the show opens to the public on Friday January 17. All prize winners and highly commended will be clearly identified including Best Exhibit and a new award this year, the Hangers award. So enjoy a glass of bubbles or a boutique beer, snack on a range of delicious foods and listen to some cool jazz as you stroll aro...und soaking up the ambiance of the show. You may even meet some of the artists. Tickets for the Gala Opening night (Thursday January 16) are available online www.morningtonartshow.com.au, at Farrell's Bookshop or at the door for $30. Silent Auction proceeds to support Bush Fire Relief During the Gala Opening night. A Silent Auction will be conducted with a wide range of fantastic packages on which to place your bid. 05.01.2022 A Resounding Success Mornington Art Show 2016 The News 44th Mornington Art Show has been a resounding success. Over 350 people attended the Opening Night celebrations with food, refreshments and cool jazz from the Balnarring Bakery Trio. Miss Australia International Jessica Martini cut the ribbon to open the show.... During the week the show has seen attendances break all previous records. An average of 250 visited each day. Sales of paintings have been very pleasing. The Rotary Club of Mornington is grateful and thrilled to observe the high level of support for this event from the Mornington Community. See more

03.01.2022 John Bredl & Kate Jenvey are exhibiting as feature artists at this year's Mornington Art Show commencing Friday January 19 until Friday January 26 daily from 10am to 5pm at the Peninsula Community Theatre.

01.01.2022 MORNINGTON ART SHOW 2021 At this stage plans are continuing for a conventional physical Art Show to be held at the Mornington Peninsula Community Theatre from January 21-26th 2021. However with Covid-19 restrictions still in place at this time we must also consider that circumstances may change at any time. The 2021 Art Show will look a little different with a reduced number of artworks on display. This decision has been made to ensure any Covid-19 requirements can be met. T...he submission dates have been changed to Sunday November 22 until Sunday December 20, 2020. Photography will also be accepted for the 2021 Mornington Art Show.
