25.01.2022 Congratulations Class 6 on the Fire Stick Ceremony! It was such an amazing night!
23.01.2022 Good morning Mornington Park students and families! Thank you to everyone who posted a photo of their favourite book or latest read last week! This week the music captains would like to see what instruments you have been making! We can’t wait to see the Drums and Shakers the Preps, 1 and 2s have made! The Grade 3, 4, 5 and 6s have been inventing String, Brass, Woodwind and Percussion instruments! Send us a photo or a short video of you playing your homemade instrument! Looking forward to seeing what you have created! MPPS Staff
22.01.2022 Today was the grand opening of the senior kids sandpit, safe to say everyone enjoyed themselves! The sandpit was constructed by Jeff and Glenno with the help of some of our senior students.

03.01.2022 Dear Families of Mornington Park Primary School This term our school is participating in the fantastic Jump Rope For Heart program. With all that is going on this year I am uncertain if any School Sport Victoria events will be conducted this year which will be upsetting for many students especially our senior students who are already missing out on so many milestone moments. So I wanted to give all of our students something to look forward to that we can do at home and online... with the hope that we will be able to hold our Jump Off day in Term 4 to showcase the students skills and provide them a fantastic day of fun and fitness. I have coordinated with the 3 other schools to be involved as per previous years and all are excited to be involved. If you choose to create a fundraising page for your child they will be able to record their skipping activity in seconds, minutes or hours, to help them reach their fundraising goal and show friends and loved ones how much they are skipping. Please see the parent letter attached to the Sentral message sent on the 29/7/2020. Here is a video link from JR4H which will explain the program in detail to help your child understand what is involved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cu7MrFcAw5A&feature=emb_logo Jump Rope for Heart | Launch and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube. www.youtube.com Please note all children can participate even if you don't have a skipping rope. Skipping with an imaginary skipping rope (not just imaginary skipping while sitting on the couch) can still be recorded as time skipped on a fundraising page. So if you don't have a skipping rope in the house or your child is still just learning to skip - everyone has the opportunity to participate. Tip if you are looking to make a skipping rope or purchase one an easy sizing guide for a rope which also allows them to grow into it a little is that the handles should reach their arm pits while they are standing with both feet in the middle of the rope. Thank you for your support. Best regards Fitzy.
