17.01.2022 Hi All, We would like to inform you that MAA will be participating next week in the 2013 Multicultural Festival in Canberra. Expected attendance is 400,000 people over the weekend. This large festival will unfold in Civic centre in downtown Canberra from 8th to 10th Feb. It is a fun and free family event that includes world music/dance concerts, shows, food stalls and bazaars etc... We have secured 2 food stalls at the African Village and a space where a large Moroccan tent will be set as a pavillion where our own artist Fatima Killeen among others will exhibit their artwork. Hope to see you there. MAA
15.01.2022 Did you know: In 859 and on a day like today, University of Al-Karaouine (aka Jamaa Al-Karaouine) was first opened in Fez. Containing a mosque and a school, The University was built by Fatima Al-Fihri with funds she inherited after the passing of her father and brother. Whilst personally overlooking every aspect of the design and construction, Fatima Al-Fihri fasted every day until the Mosque/University was completed. Today and according to the Guinness World Records and UN...ESCO, Al-Karaouine stands as the First and oldest University in the World. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_al-Karaouine
15.01.2022 MAA wishes you a Happy Ramadan. We hope this special month brings in Good Fortune and Abounding Happiness for you and your loved ones.

10.01.2022 Hi All, In case you're wondering, We've had a successful weekend in Canberra's 2013 Multicultural Festival. The presence of Moroccans and Morocco's products was so strong that we believe we've made a lasting impression on the festival's 250,000 visitors. Fashion Shows, Authentic Moroccan Cuisine, Cooking Demonstrations, Jewellery, Fossils, Paintings and Prints; and last but not least, The Moroccan tent as a centre piece and hospitality hub. Pictures and a short video clip w...ill follow. A big THANK YOU to all the volunteers (many of them), Exhibitors and Participants. You Rock! MAA
