25.01.2022 I'm starting a little history series of post for the Morongla Show as we head to towards the 101st show - I've been able to access higher quality scans of newspaper articles from the Trove database - National Libary of Australia - hope you enjoy - Thanks David Langfield (President) Here's the first article - Cowra Free Press - Sat 26th Oct 1918 after the first Morongla Carnival was held on Wed 16th Oct.

We couldn’t let October school holidays go by without the fun of preparing entries for our show We are inviting children 16 years and under to do any or all of the following: - 3 decorated arrowroot biscuits -miniature garden or farm... - drawing or painting depicting ‘fun in the school holidays’ - LEGO article (own creation) Comment on this post with a photo and entrant’s name - entries close midnight 9 October Entries of each section go into a draw (ie entries not judged) with Winners announced Monday 12 October We have a $25 Cowra Cash Card for winner’s in each section Have fun!!
