01.01.2022 Looking for a fun project over the long weekend? Create gorgeous Easter Eggs with just a little dye and olive oil! 1. Pierce the top and bottom of the egg with an egg blower, puncture the yolk and careful expel the contents. Rinse and let dry. 2. In a small bowl mix 3 cups warm water, 2 tbsp vinegar, and a few drops of food colouring. Place the egg in the dye and leave it submerged until you get the desired shade. 3. In a wide shallow bowl prepare a second batch of dye (this ...will be for the swirls!) in a darker shade or different colour. Add a tablespoon of olive oil and run a fork through - this will leave curlicues of oil on the surface. 4. As the oil swirls, place the dyed egg in the mixture and roll once around the bowl to pick up the dye and oil streaks. 5. Gently pat the egg dry and admire your creation!
