17.01.2022 3 Simple ways to help your endurance performance lift: - Have a plan that you are not emotionally attached to you. If you write your own plan, do it in advance. This will place a better plan around what you need and not what you want. One of the best things a coach will provide for you. - Even the best plans need an adaptive response on the micro level. If you need a day off, take a bloody day off. - Thinking that 200 calories from a doughnut and 200 calories from a steak wil...l do the same thing for your body comp and performance long term. 15.01.2022 You can chose to systematically improve your metabolic rate to deal with extra dietary energy (which can make your life significantly better). You can also pursue weight loss with a chronic low amount dietary energy and then have your body react by reducing leptin and increase ghrelin. Making you tired, irritable, hungry and horrible at adhering to any weight loss protocol (you can not out motivate hormones). How long have you had diet mindset for?... 15.01.2022 I would love to run but I am just not a runner.heard this before? It is super common that people whom take up running unfortunately get injuries or can experience unusual fatigue throughout the day. If you have a desire to start running/jogging but have been burnt from an injury before or just feel exhausted when running. Your first step is in the process to running is forget running.... Start walking. Unfortunately many of the general population trying to run don’t have ideal aerobic conditioning, are highly stressed (busy) and typically have body compositions that are not the best for running. So before you run. Start walking. Depending on where you are within your fitness journey, I would be looking at focusing on walking only training for a good 4-6 weeks so that you can increase volume overtime and reduce your potential for chronic DOMS. This will give you time to build the foundation of your fitness but also give your skeletal muscles time to adjust to slight impact stress. I am years into my running journey and love to do run for super long distances. 14.01.2022 Functional / basic movement patterns is something we often dont prioritise and or think about during training. During pregnancy I tried to continue to do some basic body weight movement sessions / yoga when I was feeling good to try to continue to keep the range of movement I had. Naturally as time progressed I couldnt do as much or move as freely ... as there was something in my way . I know the importance of basic and functional movement for my choice of sport being tr...iathlons, which is why Im going to put some focus into getting my body back moving well and looking after it to avoid injury. #morrismethod

12.01.2022 Training for an endurance sport and carrying more weight than you should? Two big key elements I see many people get wrong: 1. Frequently incorrect training intensity will exacerbate your hunger and cravings. 2. Placing the training plan in front of your nutritional plan as top priority = Quality and quantity of your diet will always trump the training program if you are carrying more weight than you should be. ... I have a lot of "missions" in regards to helping people lol but honestly in general my main goal is to teach people how to really put a plan together that fits their life. To construct a diet that fits their life and their goals. Not the hard gym HIIT class.... Not the hard weekly BODYPUMP class. Not the hard weekly BODYATTACK class. Once you are already "working as hard you can"... how do you work any harder..? There is so much BS out there within my industry and I am trying to hit it head on. If you are a full time working person with a family. The workouts you are being sold are exactly what you don't need! Short term results take a short time to get. Please do not settle for "well this must be just me and my body or maybe I’m just suppose to be this overweight Do something about it. 01.01.2022 You cant skip a Monday if you are not in pain you havent worked hard enough ..... this is the type of rubbish mindset that makes the fitness and health industry fail people. 3 weeks postpartum and I am slowly enjoying returning to very light easy exercise. There is no sweat, no soreness, no huge exertion or effort, all Im doing is walking .... and no its not just because Ive had a baby only a short 3 weeks ago, its because easy exercise and movement serves me purpose and results. Im looking forward to sharing my return to training with you all and showing you how I can get my fitness back and achieve my next goal .... watch this space !! #morrismethod
