25.01.2022 A BIG thank you to the Rotary Club of Glass House Mountains for their $500 donation for our emergency relief fund. This will help us to help those in need, especially through the winter months.



22.01.2022 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We have started a Community Visitors Scheme at Morris House and need those who would like to volunteer at least 1 hour per fortnight - to read or just chat - to those in need, at a local Nursing Home. This is very rewarding and a great way to cheer the sick or the lonely in our community. If this sounds like something you would like to do, please contact us here at Morris House NC on 54941255

21.01.2022 QCWA HALL next door to Morris House is for hire. Morris House leases the hall from the Sunshine Coast Council and it has recently been refurbished with new flooring and is now air-conditioned. There are also kitchen facilities for tea / coffee. The Hall will comfortably accommodate small groups for workshops, meetings, craft, family events, fitness, or training sessions. Reasonable Rates: $15 1/2 day: $30 Full day. 20.01.2022 After being closed due to Covid 19 restrictions, Orange Sky laundry has re-opened at Morris House each Thursday at 9.30am. if you need your clothes etc. washed and dried, call in. This is a free service . All welcome.



17.01.2022 Morris House Neighbourhood Centre will close on Friday 14th December 2018 for the holidays and will re-open on Monday 14th January 2019. A notice will be on the door listing organisations where clients can access assistance while we are closed. our opening times in 2019 will be : Monday & Friday: 9.30-1pm. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 9.30-4pm. We wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. We would like to sincerely thank the following people / organisations for their help, support and generosity during 2018: Glasshouse Country Rotary, Lions Club of Beerwah, Gambling Community Benefit Fund, Landsborough Seventh Day Adventist Church, Glasshouse Anglican Church, Sunshine Coast Council , Sanctuary Op Shop and our volunteers . 12.01.2022 Morris House are extending their opening hours on Thursdays. New opening hours for Thursdays only will be from 9.30 to 4.00pm. Please pop in and use our computers or have a cuppa and a chat. Other days we close at 1.00 pm. If you need to call us, our number is 5494 1255.

10.01.2022 Sanctuary Op Shop at Mooloolaba donated $500 to our emergency relief fund. this provided us with much needed funds to continue our help for those in need.

08.01.2022 On Nov 4th there was a Community Fundraising Auction Night held at the Adventist Community Centre @ Landsborough by the Adventist Church. Following the auction was a gold coin donation dinner. What a great supportive night it turned out to be with a total of over $2000 raised, supporting 5 local charities including Morris House Neighborhood Centre and the Local School Chaplaincy Group. A huge thank you from Morris House team. Well done.

04.01.2022 An exhibition celebrating 50 years of the naming of the Sunshine Coast and stories that made the news...called THE NEWSMAKERS was officially opened by our mayor Mark Jamieson. This event was held at the Landsborough Museum on Monday 25th October, and two of our Morris House Volunteers attended this event.
