07.01.2022 So here he is! The first of a new HUGE series for an exhibition in the distant future. Rik Mayall from the hit TV show, The young ones. This show perfectly mocks the student lifestyle of the 80s and even till this day is still popular and relevant in modern culture. Rik Mayall was a personal hero of mine. Whacky sense of humour and had a huge passion for his craft. Also was amazingly intelligent and compassionate for education, life, and love. His life is a prime example of ...the balance between hard work and happiness. I relate to his story personally in a way. Once Feeling like a good for nothing ratbag with no money and too stupid to make money, but then realising that money isn't equal to happiness. He pushed himself to achieve something, such as earning his doctorate. That's right, his formal handle is Dr Rick Mayall! Bet you didn't know that. Sadly this amazing icon passed away from a heart attack in 2014. This was a huge shock to the comedy world and Britian. Before he passed he had a main role playing the father of Greg Davis in the show Man Down. Still classic Rik Mayall but slightly wider and grey hair, his prime never left him. So guys that's Rik.
