21.01.2022 And what a weekend it was at the Great Southern Slam - Brought to You By Boatland Mandurah. A big thanks to Bear and Kylie Chalmers and the GSKC for making it yet again another awesome event. This year the Team where lucky enough to have 8 x drivers Morton Motorsport powered in the Premier 100 Open class. Adrian Krause ... Brad Preen Hayley Morton Jason White Joe Chalmers Lee Austen Nathan Chalmers Steve Clarkson All drivers had good pace, but some not always luck on their side. Over the days racing everyone put in a huge effort and I'm proud to say from 39 x Entries for the class, six drivers made it through to the A Main. While not taking the win this year three Morton Motorsport powered drivers did finish inside the top ten! Huge results really! Super proud of Daughter Hayley on winning the Hard Charger Award by passing 9 x Karts in the Final. Thanks to all who put in the great effort. I hope everyone had a ball and are already planning for next year! Shout out to Brad Preen, hope you are on the mend after the nasty stack! When I build a KT carbie they are built in steps. As this is the first time I have seen these ones, the development program begins!

13.01.2022 If your engine builder explains to you why to use an oil and more importantly how to mix that oil and fuel, don't go asking everyone else what they use. You will be educated once. If you fail to follow those rules, don't be surprised if the rebuild costs increase when things aren't as good as can be. Experience counts, popularity dosent.

05.01.2022 When the youngest Daughter Elissa says, "I will YOLO it in the last race Dad!" Well she did that....off the end of the straight at Busselton. Love her and her commitment. Drove super all day last weekend and had a little tip over in the final. After the usual Sunday post race day X-ray at hospital she was cleared of any breaks. This week there have been a few slow days and some pain but hopefully she is good to go next weekend in KT's at the 100 Open Slam in Wagin. ... Love the commitment, love the passion for the sport. 04.01.2022 Race season 2020 is officially done! Today we saw the DTKC wrap up and presentation formalities. As always everyone involved with Morton Motorsport can hold their heads high. 02.01.2022 This is another reason why you do not wash your engines with water! The Walbro struggles at the best of times but adding water and rust into the equation does not help at all! Wash them with petrol or a solvent people! I can safely bet this isn't the only one like this out there......
