Important Community Notice - This year Morwell Fire Brigade will be unable to offer Santa Runs, this is in line with COVID-19 restrictions and D27 communication. We apologise but this is out of our control.

20.01.2022 Its warming up - today Morwell Brigade were responded to a Grass and Scrub Fire around Midday. Shows how quick our grass and bush land can dry out and be a fuel hazard and a major fire risk

20.01.2022 Happy Easter to all

20.01.2022 First Responders Day - we thank all those who go above and beyond each and every day - Have a great day CFA, MFB, Ambulance Vic, Victoria Police and SES on our First Responders Day

18.01.2022 With CFA becoming volunteer focused as of July 1st it is our responsibility to ensure readiness of our tanker. Frequent vehicle checks are a part of this. Volunteers Cam, Scott and Arron ensuring we are prepared and ready to protect our Community.

18.01.2022 As always COVID safe training continues - here Morwell Brigade are out and about with rake hoes and knapsacks blacking out and creating barriers to prevent spread to further areas. A tiring but essential part of making sure our community is safe and reignition of a fire is unlikely.

18.01.2022 For our neighbouring towns.

17.01.2022 On Wednesday 29th April 2020 at 5:40pm a number of Brigades across the State including Morwell Fire Brigade will be sounding their Brigade Station Siren / Truck Siren four times as a mark of respect to the four Victorian Police Officers who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty last week. #emergencyservicesfamily #victoriapolice #cfa There is no reason to be concerned or alarmed should you hear one or more Brigade sirens sounding today at 5.40pm.

17.01.2022 Don't forget this online session Sun 29 th Nov.

17.01.2022 Fire contained.

17.01.2022 Weve been excited and grateful to see an increase in applications from people wanting to join the CFA in recent weeks. Last night, I spoke to ABC News 24 about... how someone becomes a CFA volunteer whether you want to be a firefighter or help in one of the many other roles we offer such as community education, fund-raising and brigade support. It can take several months for an applicant to work through the training requirements, but we look forward to welcoming some new members soon. See more

17.01.2022 Today is an historic day for fire services in Victoria. Today we welcome Fire Rescue Victoria as our new fire and emergency service partner. And today, CFA beco...mes a proudly volunteer fire service. We are skilled, determined and here to serve Victorians now and into the future. We are from the community and for the community. We are CFA. #CFAVic #OurCommunityOurCFA

16.01.2022 Our thoughts go out to our Victoria Police members and families on the loss of their members tonight.

16.01.2022 A timely reminder in the colder weather.

16.01.2022 I daresay most of us are experiencing the same trouble with getting clothes dry in our recent wet weather - be mindful to keep them a metre away from the heater.

16.01.2022 Wear Orange Day to support SES. We thank our SES who we work alongside at many incidents.

16.01.2022 Tomorrow make sure your family, workmates and friends are doing OK - ask the question and really listen. Being there and showing concern is often enough. With COVID it is not unusual that we may not be OK - its not shameful to admit we may not be OK. A smile, a hello may change someones day for the better. We should all think like this every day but tomorrow is just a reminder to us all to show concern understanding and patience.

15.01.2022 In an emergency, can our brigades get to you? Here are some ideas to consider as you set about preparing your property for the Fire Danger Period. #cfavic #ffmv #cfagippsland #gippsnews #burnoff #prepareyourproperty #firedangerperiod

12.01.2022 Happy Father's Day to our Brigade Dad's and our crews rostered on who are always ready to respond when the pagers go off to keep our community safe. Stay safe and know you are appreciated.

12.01.2022 Here are the steps to take to make sure you’re washing your hands properly, from the Better Health Channel. If possible, remove rings and watches before you ...wash your hands, or ensure you move the rings to wash under them, as micro-organisms can exist under them Wet your hands with clean, running water, turn off the tap Apply soap and lather well for 20 seconds or longer Rub your hands together rapidly across all areas of your hands and wrists - the backs of your hands, between your fingers and under your fingernails, under any jewellery you couldn’t remove Rinse well under running water and make sure all traces of soap are removed Dry your hands. Use a clean towel, preferably a paper towel or single-use cloth towel. Dry under any rings, as they can be a source of future contamination if they remain moist. Hot air driers can be used. At home, give each family member their own towel and wash the towels often. More info: https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au//handwashing-why-its-i

09.01.2022 Update for the BBQ season which is approaching fast along with the fire danger period.

09.01.2022 On this day, we reflect on the events of this time eleven years ago when 173 people tragically lost their lives in the 2009 Black Saturday fires. We will never forget those we have lost.

09.01.2022 Morwell and Traralgon crews attended a fire at a car yard this morning. Quick arriving crews contained the fire to the structure preventing the spread to any cars or neighbouring carpet factory. The fire is currently under investigation. Princes Drv has also reopened to traffic.

08.01.2022 Well done Team Morwell at the State Championships in Horsham.

08.01.2022 We are all in this together.

07.01.2022 The weather is turning cool again so if you have a dryer not emptying your lint filter is a fire risk.

06.01.2022 At approximately 430 am this morning Morwell CFA and FRV were called to an Undefined Fire in the vicinity of Tramway Road in Morwell. Morwell Tanker and FRV Crews arrived on scene and found a car fire well alight behind the industrial area in Saskia Way. This was an excellent example of how CFA and FRV crews work together to get the job done. We work as one. .

05.01.2022 Stay safe and drive to the conditions this weekend. But most of all have a great time away and return safe
