13.01.2022 This week in the Gippsland League record Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who supported the Breast Cancer Fund Raiser last weekend that raised approx. $3,700. Many volunteers did a great job with Claire Allison, Kellie Bertrand and Laura and Mitch Marino leading from the front. Netball: Last week Leongatha finished stronger in the ‘A’ Grade to win by just 1 goal and dampen the celebrations of Courtney’s 200 milestones. The U17’s got up in a great game by 1 goal in a grea...t game. The U15’s and C Grade had good wins and B Grade and the U13’s both lost by 7 goals. Full results on pages 44 & 45. Football: Leongatha proved too strong in the Seniors and gave us a reality check on where the best sides are at. The Reserves did a great job to win despite limited interchange from Qtr1. Similarly, the U18’s were down to one interchange from early in the game and fatigue may have cost them. The U16’s were beaten by a better side but today is another day. Full Rd 4 results are on pages 4 & 5. 10.12.2021 MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT As part of a range of initiatives to support community football bounce back, we are excited to announce that the CoachAFL membership fee ...of $49.50 will be removed for all coaches registering in 2022. From January 1, 2022 coaches will be able to register and accredit through the CoachAFL platform free of charge. Coaches will still be required to register and complete their accreditation in order to be selected to a team sheet, and once completed will have access to a wide-range of resources and benefits as part of their CoachAFL Membership. Additionally, we are also excited to announce that four-time Hawthorn Football Club premiership coach Alastair Clarkson will join us as a community coaching ambassador, giving coaches at all levels access to insights from one of the game's all-time greats.
