06.01.2022 A mosaic I'm working on.

02.01.2022 Another section of my Platypus mosaic has been installed by the rivulet. The striking background design has been mosaiced from tiling job offcuts that we saved for years. They are all thick floor tiles - tough as old boots and extremely hard to cut. I usually grip the tile with the clippers and give a quick hit with a little hammer. Francis cuts out the varied platypus shapes for me using his trusty grinder. The tiles for the platypus have a metallic sheen which sets them apart further from the background.
