25.01.2022 Such a pleasure to be invited to perform a set of my original songs at the CIAF Closing Ceremony on 23rd of August at The Tanks Arts Centre to celebrate the continuity of growth and evolution of Indigenous Australian Arts and Culture. I put together a deadly band for the occassion with my music family. Looking forward to performing with the band at my first gig since lockdown.
24.01.2022 Editing and mixing a new original demo track.
23.01.2022 My very first self recorded solo fingerstyle guitar instrumental album that I recorded back in 2012. I recorded the entire album in almost all first takes. This album comprises of covers of some of my favourite tunes by some great composers that I had the pleasure of performing regularly at that time. Back then, I was busking almost every weekend at Rusty's Markets Music Corner, playing fingerstyle guitar instrumentals, 3 hours each time non stop before it was time for anoth...er performer to do their set. I performed there for a fair few years. I was also fortunate to play these sorts of gigs at Weddings, Art Exhibitions, Indigenous Festivals, Birthday parties etc. At that time, I played more solo gigs than with the few bands that I was in. When I started working full-time, trying to juggle work and music became a struggle, unfortunately, my solo gigs slowly faded into the background. It was hard to do the early morning solo gigs coz I felt the physical and mental toll of working meant that I could only really manage the band gigs at night times on the weekends. I hope that after I release my second album, I would love to do a proper instrumental album. It'd be fitting after all the years that I've invested in this style of playing. Would be a tribute to all the great composers, who's tunes I've played for years in honing my craft.
21.01.2022 Here's a snippet of a demo track that I made of Handy Man Joe's song called 'Liberty' minus the vocals. The song was originally a 3 chords song, I modified the whole song and put different progressions, structure and created different instrument parts for it. Another take for my guitar slinger friends. Rock on.
19.01.2022 Started writing lyrics to my second album tonight. Almost finished the first song, which is called 'Sweet Reggae Music'. All the music for my second album is complete. Gonna concentrate solely on writing lyrics now, between work and my other commitments.

18.01.2022 Here's a video snippet of Hand Man Joe's song demo of 'Time Capsule' that I recorded minus the vocals. This track is originally a 2 chord song. I modified it with chord changes, restructuring and adding different instrumentation. Looking forward to recording and producing Joe's album 'Planet Of The Seven Suns' towards the end of the year. I've still got 5 tracks to complete.

15.01.2022 In memory of my late, beautiful wife, Donna Maree Moore, I have called my new Fender Stratocaster 'Donna Maree'. Donna was my soulmate and number 1 supporter of my musical journey. I love and miss her so much. Thanks to Reuben from Reuben's Guitar Repairs for the modification work and Laurie Ernst of Gift Engraving for the engraving.

14.01.2022 Getting down to business. Really diggin' the tones and versatility of this rig. Minimal interuptions from social media and other unnecessary time consuming ways is working a treat. Getting into what really matters and drives one's passion.
13.01.2022 I'm currently working on recording Handy Man Joe's original album demos. Just finished the second track. Turns out Joe used to play bass in an original band in Sydney about 20 years ago and wrote a lot of his own songs. He's recorded a lot of his songs on a 1 take sound recorder, just him singing with an acoustic guitar. A lot of his songs are simple 3 chords songs. I modified his songs with structural changes, modern soundscape ideas and additions of the bells and whistles that go with it. Looking at recording and producing Joe's album at a professional studio by the end of this year. He wants a 7 track instalment for his first album, a song for each day of the week. I suggested the title for the album, 'Planet of The Seven Suns'.

10.01.2022 New edition to my home studio thanks to Bass Centre, Melbourne. Fender Rumble 40 Bass Amp and EMG Geezer Butler PJ Bass Pickup Kit. Looks like The White Falcon will be on steroids once these get installed.
08.01.2022 Got the EMG Geezer Butler pickups installed in The White Falcon. It sure is on the juice now. Thanks to Reuben from Reuben's Guitar Repairs and Services for the modification. I highly recommend his services. He is also one of Australia's finest guitar Luthiers. Legend, love your work mate. Time to learn some James Jameson bass lines I think. Just can't put this thing down. It sounds amazing and the output is even throughout the neck and across all strings.

02.01.2022 Lyrics to track #2 ('My Sweet Angel') for my second album complete. Method I used for this album; Complete all the demo tracks of the music, then write lyrics to suit the vibe of each track.... I will be collaborating with a few of FNQ's finest original music artists on this album. Stay tuned for more updates.
02.01.2022 Installed a Duesenberg Les Trem II on my LP copy guitar after work today. So far so good, it stays in tune. Easy to install, used the pre existing holes to install it. J&D LP Custom copy guitar modified : locking tuners, string butler, Slash's Signature pickups, both pickups have a split coil option to use either humbuckers or single coils, has treble bleed, Elixir Strings 11-49 (normal tuning). Sounds awesome.
