Mosman Rowing Club runs Winter Programs for over 6 years and has a successful track record in developing girls and boys to the next level.... We offer great training conditions, on and off the water supported by a world class coaching team The program includes a BBQ at the MRC Pearl Bay Boatshed and a MRC rowing zootie. We have a maximum of 18 positions for boys and 18 positions for girls. The participation will be subject to selection criteria. 03.01.2022 Mosman Rowing Club offers a 18 week program involving 36 on-water sessions, with the focus on technique, fitness and small boat capability. It shall prepare current Yr 10 and 11 girls and boys for their qualifications at their respective schools and help with the transition from school to club rowing. The Program commences on Saturday 18 April (for girls) and Sunday 19 April (for boys), with boys and girls rowing only once per week (Saturdays for girls and Sundays for boys) u...ntil 23/24 May. After 4 weeks (i.e. from 23/24 May), boys row Tuesday and Sunday mornings and girls row Wednesday and Saturday mornings. During school holidays (19 June to 14 July) boys and girls row an extra day Mondays for girls and Thursdays for boys. Participation will be limited to 18 boys and 18 girls. Two coxswains will be required for each squad. 02.01.2022 Are you interested in a high performance Winter Rowing Program? This year we will select a small group of rowers (max 16), who will have the opportunity to improve technique in both sculling and sweep. The program will run from early May to early September. We will introduce a selection period, where rowers will undergo a strength and endurance test as well as technical capability. We will communicate the exact date, which will be in early April....
