22.01.2022 Exploring basic chemistry with our toddlers. They were given pipettes, funnels, cups, food colour, spray bottles, shaving cream and spoons. Great for open play, exploration, developing concentration, colour, experimentation, fine motor and looking at how different home based chemicals react to form reactions. Try it at home!

13.01.2022 Bike and Scooter week was a huge success at Mosman ELC. Children learnt about road safety, how to share spaces and the importance of wearing a helmet. We are planning to have another week of wheels very soon.
12.01.2022 How did you keep your little one busy today? We decided to bring the outdoors in - we collected fallen leaves, checked them for bugs and placed in our play tub - the nursery children enjoyed scrunching, crunching, ripping and throwing the leaves in the air. This experience helps children to develop their fine motor skills and learn about cause and effect. You may need to keep a broom close by.

03.01.2022 Exploring time, o’clock and the clocks hands with our preschoolers. Children were fascinated with the moving hands on the clock and we decided to make our own using a few simple materials.
03.01.2022 Our toddlers have been inquiring into their new unit titled Plate to Farm. As part of this unit have been watching eggs hatch into chickens. Children have learnt about the life cycle of chickens and that they give us eggs. By creating real life experiences we make learning meaningful as well as fun and engaging.
