13.01.2022 Reminding all of out patients to avoid any hard, sticky, chewy, crunchy, sugary foods during isolation. Remember to minimise continual snacking - this can increase acid attacks on your teeth which can break down the enamel and cause demineralisation. Ensure you brush and floss for at least 5-8 minutes after each meal. Please refer to our web page for instructions on how to brush and foods to avoid.

12.01.2022 Happy World Orthodontic Health Day

11.01.2022 In light of the global crisis of COVID-19, the Australian Society of Orthodontists are regularly reviewing the governments advice and implementing recommendati...ons to safeguard the health of all orthodontic patients, as well as the staff of orthodontic practices. Update: As of 27th April, well see health restrictions easing to category 2. This means that many orthodontic offices will be open and able to resume most regular procedures. Existing patients and urgent appointments may still be prioritised in this time, and there may be some limitations to the procedures able to be performed. Please contact your treating orthodontist for more information specific to your plan.

10.01.2022 While its fantastic that some orthodontic clinics have reopened, its important to still abide by these hygiene rules to safeguard the health of patients, family members and staff. Check with your orthodontist for any rules specific to their practice.

However, to protect you, your family and our staff, we are following and adopting preventive measures from the Department of Health. Following Scott Morrisons announcement on March 18 2020 and for the first time in Australian history a level 4 travel ban has been implemented. This unprecedented move is intended to stop all Australians travelling overseas and limiting the spread of Coronavirus. Please reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing a cough and shortness of breath (with or without a fever), a fever, have returned from overseas (and are in the 14-day self-isolation period) or been in contact with someone diagnosed with or undergoing testing for COVID-19. Where possible, we ask that one parent or guardian only accompany your child to their appointment and avoid bringing any siblings or relatives. If possible, you can drop off and pick up your child, this will reduce the number of people in our waiting room. Upon arrival, we will ask you to use the hand sanitiser provided. All shared items such as magazines and toys have been removed from our waiting area. By supporting each other and working together we will overcome these times with acts of compassion and kindness. Our friendly staff are available to talk through any concerns that you have on 9284 7900.
