17.01.2022 Indoor Rowing Challenge - Our club recently played host to the 2nd round of the Rowing NSW Indoor Series. The format is for rounds of 2,000M competition, with all different classes of sex, age and ability racing across the ergometers at the same time. This is followed by similar rounds of 1,000M and then 500M. Almost all of the competitors that race the 2,00M back up for the 1,000M and the 500M. The 500M is where the subset of superstars arrive for the sprint event. The... ergs are weighed down by barbells and weight plates and the sprint is on. It's definitely the showboat event and the times are fast - certainly not one for the purists judging technique. The only other time I've seen the need for the erg to be wedged down by the heaviest dumbbells in the gym was when Ollie Zeidler did his three back-to-back sub 6-min. 2K pieces back in January. Well done to everyone who competed and thank you to the volunteers.

12.01.2022 Mosman Juniors and Masters all had a great day at the Reindeer Regatta yesterday. Young and old came away with some new partnerships, hard fought results, medals and lots of big smiles. Some of the Juniors have only been rowing a very short time, and this was their first regatta. The Junior contingent have sent some great photos to share and we look forward to publishing some from the Masters to even up the balance.... Go Mosman!

09.01.2022 Early mornings at Pearl Bay. It was beautiful water heading out this morning. Some headed to Tunks Park, others went to Roseville Bridge and a few Masters men went to the wires returning with a great story of 'big fish' sightings, but with a twinkle in their eyes. What did they really see? All boats seemed to come together on their return creating wonderful peak hour photos. This is truly the best way to start the day.

02.01.2022 Here is an update from the MRC Ladies Recreational rowers who have formed a fabulously cohesive group over the last year or so. Now that the COVID rowing restrictions lifted the ladies have been having fun testing their skills, tinkering on the quads and venturing out in the lifting fog. We all love rowing!
