18.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who has so far supported us getting this play group up and running again. Firstly I was thinking of changing it to a Monday since there is already one at the show ground on Wednesday. Secondly, all three of us who tried to get it started again have had significant lifestyle changes in the last week or two and none of us are able to commit to running the group at this stage. I will attempt to get funding to pay somebody to run the group officially but in the meantime the Mossman community playgroup is cancelled.

18.01.2022 Due to the inclement weather playgroup tomorrow will be very crafty so be sure to dress the kids in old clothes. We will be doing string paintings and experimenting with many different styles of painting. There will also be playdough and masks to make. We are now starting at 9:30 rather than 9:00. Hope to see many people under the shelter from the rain.

17.01.2022 A while back I received an email from the council notifying us of their future plans to remove the basketball courts. There was no date provided however this will of course leave us with no venue to hold the Mossman Community Play Group. Several of the administrators have in the past discussed dissolving the play group and where to donate the equipment etc. So....I would like to propose that we offer all equipment and craft supplies to the new Steiner play group that will be opening in Port Douglas next year. They will only take natural products ie: timber, steel, paper etc. so we would still need to come up with a plan for the plastic toys. Please let me know your thoughts on this.

15.01.2022 so peeps we will be having a break over the next week from playgroup since the show is on so we cannot use the grounds. Hopefully during this time I will get a chance (depending upon my kids) to post some photos from our recent play group adventures. We try to run with a theme on most weeks, some recent themes have been animals, masks, fine motor skills. Thanks to the small group of people who are regularly supporting us.

06.01.2022 Thanks everyone for your ideas. I did an inventory on Monday and there is so much there that there is plenty to go round so we can meet everybody's requests. Any funds in the bank account will be donated to KIND. Anybody know how I can contact Hiromi? I have the key to access the account but not the password. And I will need to track down the signatories anyhow to get it closed.
