Congratulations Shirley Carney 2020 MGC Ladies Match Play Champion. Great Game, runner up Pam Sinclair, the match went to the 19th. Great Job Ladies. Mens B Grade Champion Matty Smith defeating Doug Baird in the final.... Mens C Grade Champion Luke Dwyer. Luke beat Baxter on the 21st hole, Baxter was seen to be throwing a club after the match. Is that really true Wayne ?

23.01.2022 A MASSIVE Thank you to our hearty members that turned up for Sundays Working Be. The work we achieved was brilliant. Great to see many new volunteers. The Place is SPARKLING. Many people that were vocal at our special meetings about wanting to help the club moving forward were definitely missing in action.... 1st December handover is a great day and to make our club viable we must have all members on board and prepared to assist. Victors today were Mal, Leonie, Jenny and John with a score of 27.38. Then came Gayle, Ian, Rhonda and Ray 27.94, Vicki, Inger, Wayne and Rodger 29.75, Mark W, Rhona, Ron and Jean 31.00, Mark S, Brian R, Bill and Sue in 31.1, Peter, Lydia, Phil and Toni on 33.56 and finally Gail and David and Pauline and Brian K 35.31. Great fun. So pleased to have been associated with this group that has grown in number over the last 2 years. 13.01.2022 Another great weekend at Mossman Golf Club. Thanks to our members, visitors, volunteers and staff. Congratulations to Team Smith and Roberts for winning on Saturday in the Mossman Golf Club VW Scramble, following on from Couper's strong finish at the Ayr Junior Open.... On Sunday we hosted Mareeba, Half Moon Bay Golf Club and Atherton Golf Club for Inter Club Pennant, Mossman taking on Mareeba and Atherton taking on HMBGC. Mossman A and C Grade winning and B Grade being pipped by a couple of close games.

12.01.2022 Thanks Bill McCarthy (LANMAC Constructions). Men's Pennant Shirts look Terrific. Would all members please register for the Mossman Golf Club VW Scramble. (https://vwscramble.golfgenius.com/register) We had approx 60 people put their hands up at the Special Meeting about 4 weeks ago saying they would play. ... Currently, we have 2 groups only 8 of our members registered. Would the other 52 please register. We need this for give away golf balls and other prizes. There is a sheet on the notice board - if you don't have team put your name down to form one. Another thing. I sought advice from Golf Australia. You can actually have 20 people on a hole, with social distancing. Why you would want 20 bewilders me. What this does mean is the VW Scramble will definitely be teeing off with 2 groups ( 8 Pax ) per hole , One hole between groups. Also if the last group is a 5 then not a problem , just be aware of your pace. Thanks JC

10.01.2022 Morning all, with a deluge last night and early this morning we are back to the composite course. This will also be in play Saturday as well. Some very inconsi...derate golfers last Saturday did some very real damage to our course. Everybody was asked to avoid puddles, wet areas and stay to high ground were possible. Have a look at photos below. This is totally unacceptable. If we wish to continue using Motor Buggies we must use some common sense. Thank you. JC. See more

Monday 30th Clubhouse CLOSED for handover of Club from Tin Shed. Course will be open for walkers only. Access to toilets through clubhouse only for the walking golfers. 02.01.2022 Friday - Course closed tomorrow morning. We are hoping to allow golfers on from noon. Matty will assess course and we will advise as soon as possible. Club house and bar definitely open Friday afternoon. We will update as things change. Fingers crossed for Saturday.

01.01.2022 We are progressing very well with the transfer of golf club from Tin Shed back to being a golf club run by members, committee & staff. 1st of December is still the date we are aiming for to have all transfers etc., in place. Once again a great thank you to the DSC for their fantastic support , both past and anticipated support in the future. With this in mind MGC Committee has decided to change the date of our presentation night originally planned for the 20th November. The new presentation event will be held on Saturday the 19th December . Golf will have a 12.30pm 4BBB Shotgun Start followed by 2020 presentation to all major event winners. We will also have a BBQ , need some volunteers to do the cooking.
