25.01.2022 Stage One of the Neonatal Nursery redevelopment is now complete. The new Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) is part of the $50 million Sustainment Project at the Women's & Children's Hospital. The new modern unit provides larger spaces with improved patient privacy and infection control while making families feel more comfortable. The SCBU has a number of new facilities which include a new family lounge area, added space at cot side for families and carers and isolation rooms for... individual and twin babies. Additional features include new information panels, dedicated wash-up station for cleaning feeding equipment, new staff call system and the introduction of programmed circadian lighting to promote neuro-development care. Our team have worked closely with the design team to ensure we create a spacious, calming and supportive environment in order for the WCH to continue to deliver the highest quality care for some of their most vulnerable patients. Works are already underway on the next stage of the Neonatal Nursery redevelopment. This stage will involve an upgrade of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) which is due for completion in early 2021. #mossop #projectcompletion #WCH #bigthingsarehappeninghere #wchsustaimentproject #SAHealth #neonatalnursary #upgrade #fitout

21.01.2022 Today we supporting R U Ok? Day. 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. Each year 190 Australians working in the Construction Industry take their own lives. This means we lose a mate to suicide every second day. We don’t need to be experts to reach out, just be a friend, a great listener and stay connected with those aro...und us. If you feel like something’s not quite the same with someone you know there’s something going on in their life or you notice a change in what they’re saying or doing - trust that gut instinct and take the time to ask them Are you OK? If someone says they’re not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check in. That conversation could change, or even save, their life. Everyday is a good day to ask, "R U Ok?". #ruokday2020 #ask #listen #encourageaction #checkin

15.01.2022 Mossop was keen to demonstrate our commitment to the Hutt St Centre and support their fantastic work in our community. When recruiting for a position on the recent HSC Redevelopment project Mossop interviewed applicants from Hutt St Centres pathways program. These participants were fully supported by their case workers as they went through an application and interview process, giving them experience and confidence in a job interview environment. We proudly employed Riley* fo...r the project and then went on to offer him a full time position with Mossop Construction + Interiors. Riley* is a fantastic addition to our team and we look forward to supporting him on his new journey in the Construction Industry. #huttstcentre #careerinconstruction #newjourneybegins

09.01.2022 When Mossop Construction + Interiors went looking for a solution to keep the Sacred Space at the Women's and Children's Hospital dry & protected from the elemen...ts while undergoing 4 month refurbishment during the winter months, they looked no further than Nexstage. With no large scale events planned due to COVID-19, it was time to pivot. Nexstage designed and engineered our Matrix concert series CLS truss and custom roof skins to the exacting construction site standards. Situated high atop the WCH, anchored down and monitored 24/7 by our remote weather apps, the solution and service proved a huge success and ticked all the boxes from a safety, process, product & price perspective. Great to have worked with such a significant South Australian owned & based commercial construction company and the opportunity to prove that our systems, processes and products can easily transfer between industries. When you work with Nexstage, you’re working with a staging company that puts safety first. Every stage we design is installed using the safest methods and equipment. We have a meticulous and detailed risk management process which we follow for every single event. We engage independent engineers to approve large-scale stages, and our crew hold all the required permits, certificates and licences for the tasks they perform.
