23.01.2022 This is the first of many albums the talented Aaron Spiers recorded at Moss Street Productions and one of my faves. Today Aaron is giving it away for what ever you feel like paying for it. We recorded this album in my favourite method. Live! Four great musicians just laying it down together in the studio. No overdubs, no click track, just shit hot playing. We made sure we were capturing the sound as best we could and hit record. Quick mix, master and here you have it. ...Enjoy. and buy it if you like it.

20.01.2022 Flat out over the weekend, Beaufort St festival on Saturday at the Jazz stage with the trusty LS9 mixing the likes of The Amani Consort and Grace Barb Then it was up early Sunday to film and record The Aaron Spiers Big Band with Libby Hammer Yes it mightve been flat out but its not hard with music like that.

10.01.2022 Last week I had the privilege of helping out and filming the Impact100 Fremantle 2014 awards night. Its a philanthropic initiative where 100 Freo locals put $1000 each towards a good cause that they choose from a range of applicants. This year the grant was for the support of homelessness and mental illness and FORM won the $100,000 for their 100 Hampton Road project. In conjunction with Foundation Housing they have a 190 bed lodging house at 100 Hampton Road and this gra...nt will allow them to grow their cooking school. "Embedding skill development, training and employment opportunities within the project will build towards sustainability, as well as income and employment pathways for residents involved, creating avenues out of homelessness. The Hampton Road Kitchen will build a sense of well-being, self-confidence and pride through cooking, sharing and selling home-made food products." If youre a resident of the greater Fremantle region (or even if youre not) but love the Freo ethos then Impact100 is a great project to get behind for next year.

Ive been doing more and more video work in the last few months including nearly a dozen videos for Julia from Newborn Mothers These were for her online subscription course and generated 1000s of hits to her website with a huge of number of people signing up to her program. This probably wont interested the average 18 yr in a punk band but will be of great use to any new parents. It also shows the power of simple and e...ngaging video content.
