Take a look at @clay.kehrer's high performance, nitrous assisted Skater Catamaran, which has clocked 155mph on the water with plenty left in it! This MoTeC-powered masterpiece is the result of careful planning and smart teamwork between two extremely skilled US dealers (and longtime friends), who sp...ecialise in perfection. Race Spec was trusted with the design and supply of the electrical system and harnessing, while T1 Race Development would nail the engine mapping. To ensure precision at every step, the boat's Texas-based owner shipped one of the two supercharged V8 LS engine assemblies to Race Spec in New York, allowing Joel to craft the perfect milspec wiring harness and formulate the ultimate electronics solution, which includes a symmetrical setup of MoTeC devices: 2 x M190 ECUs running MoTeC's GPR Package 2 x PDM16 Power Distribution Modules 2 x C1212 Displays 2 x LTCD-NTK Dual Lambda to CAN modules 2 x Rotary Controllers A separate "logger box", containing additional MoTeC LTCD modules to monitor lambda, plus thermocouple temperature measurement and torque sensing, was provided as a portable tuning and testing unit that could be moved to either engine as required. With the complete system crated up and shipped back to the owner, fellow Texan and MoTeC maestro Tony Palo worked his M1 tuning magic at T1 Race Development's headquarters using the customer's own engine dyno. He’s passionate, knowledgeable and enjoys hands on work with MoTeC products, testing new developments and supporting our customers and dealers. Nathan’s desk isn’t up for grabs, but we do need another enthusiastic team member to join us at our Research Centre, working alongside Nathan and the r...est of our Melbourne-based crew. Someone with experience in relevant automotive electronics, great communication and problem solving skills, and a roll-up-the-sleeves, can-do attitude. Nathan’s To Do list looks a bit like this, and yours would too: Provide phone, email and remote technical support to customers and dealers. Carry out testing, calibrations and supporting documentation for sensors and actuators. Test new products and software and provide feedback. Build, test and prototype wiring looms. Assist in reverse engineering vehicles to develop Plug-In management solutions. Dyno and road-tune various development projects. Occasional support at race meetings and customer premises. Documentation and training. We asked Nathan why he applied to work at MoTeC: "During my previous 13 years in the performance automotive and motorsport industry, MoTeC was always the smartest and most complete solution for engine management and particularly data acquisition. So having the opportunity to be a part of the team that creates, develops and supports that solution was an amazing opportunity that I couldn't pass up."
