13.01.2022 This week is Foster/kinship Carer’s week. We have a number of families who use our service who do this amazing job. This post is to simple say to those families (you know who you are), Fostering one child won’t change the world but you change the world for that one child.

12.01.2022 There are more people in need than ever this Christmas so we have started collecting already. If each family could send in one can of spaghetti or a packet of pasta, or other essential items, each week for the next 8 weeks. We could really make a difference to families in need this Christmas.

10.01.2022 Thank you for everyone’s patience over the last few weeks. If our car park is full and you need to park on our driveway please park behind the line. This allows good vision and passing opportunities for others. We took on 6 uni students this Placement as a lot of services were not supporting students during COVID. This has been a positive experience for the children students and educators as always and your support as families is always appreciated.

08.01.2022 Our Christmas party celebration with this great team. Everyone was super proud of their master pieces this evening. Some of us took it more seriously, while others just cracked them self up with each brush stroke. A great night. Thank you everyone.

08.01.2022 There was an accident yesterday for the first time, out the front of our service. It was caused by a parent disobeying the no right turn sign. Sharron and Matthew Thomas spent close to three years trying to get Mother Goose Day Nursery through Council . After many neighbour hood petitions, lengthy council meetings and numerous traffic flow scenarios, Sharron and Matthew finally celebrated with a bottle of champagne the success of gaining Council Approval. Council did not how...ever grant approval without conditions of development approval. One of the conditions was that their would be NO RIGHT TURN into the Child Care Centre. This proposal was accepted on the merits that Mother Goose Day Nursery knew its clientele and could promote the safe access to the site for the safety of the families and children concerned. Still to this day, Mother Goose Day Nursery is still trying to get families to obey the sign. Please for the safety of your family and to reduce the likelihood of an accident, please use the Give-Way Triangle in front of Bolwarra General Store to turn around safely. Please tell grandparents also if they are picking up or dropping off. It only takes a moment longer to keep your family safe and to keep Mother Goose Day Nursery OFF the front page of the Maitland Mercury. Some resident will surely say I told you so. See more

03.01.2022 What an exciting week we have had. All the children throughout the centre have been to visit the chicks as they hatch. They are almost all hatched now. We will continue to watch them all grow over the coming months.
