20.01.2022 It is absolutely ridiculous of Ranzcog to make such non evidence based recommendations & even more ridiculous that some individual hospitals decided to implement their own restriction of no water immersion or showers for labouring woman based on a Ranzcog recommendation.. Swim in a public pool during pregnancy or have a shower once youve finished birthing but dont allow the woman to be soothed and comforted in their own space for non medical pain relief during their own birth but go for your life with interventions.. Non of this makes sence.. Its as bad as some hospitals not allowing a birth support person Ohhh so infuriating .. so infuriating... Speak up for YOUR RIGHTS Thankyou ACM

The use of water during birth aids in the prevention of interventions, is one of the few naturally therapeutic pain relief options beneficial to pain & comfort & holds space for the birthing woman. Woman do not choose to birth in hospital because they are a sick patient needing to be banned from water yet other patients of the hospital still have the right to the use of water. 16.01.2022 This morning my worst nightmare of teaching online occurred.. After trying to sort out unexpected technical difficulties this was the end result & my view.. along with rescheduling.. I was horrified, shocked, embarrassed & felt my own internal panic.. This was NOT a dreamy moment for me whatsoever.. Im sharing this because in a world where things dont always go to plan & things can go wrong no matter how hard you try, there are also 3 things in life that can make the world ...of difference to how someone feels.. compassion, understanding & kindness.. Now that my own horror has subsided I am just so truely greatful to the absolutely gorgeous couple Casey & Kieran for gifting me with undoubtedly all three! 13.01.2022 1 year ago I literally couldn’t help myself & could have been called the travelling Doula spending many a night between couches, between waves & between friends beds, between gaps (Thankyou dear friends ) living out of a bag in my car accompanied by my Doula essentials bag to be able to support some amazingly brilliant woman back down in macarthur & wollondilly Its just that bit too far to be able to do this frequently but my spirit needed these births as much as the wom...an felt they needed me & so it was destined Sometimes you just have to trust it will all work out & it does but 1 year ago today was a special little mans birthing day & May I say his birth was a fresh reminder to me of the importance of instinct, we know what we need, we know what our spirit calls for & just to trust. He was born a little man of expression in safe space, his birth was in his time. Mumma drew upon her deepest strengths so peacefully & she was born yet again a strong empowering mother..
