22.01.2022 Where to start with introducing solids? When I was a first time mum I had so many questions and found my google searches raised more questions than answers. Fast forward almost four years and I find my daughter definitely falls into the fussy eater category. It can leave you feeling frustrated and defeated. 06.01.2022 Pregnancy and the postpartum stage can be so isolating. Add in a global pandemic, and all bets are off. In both my pregnancies, but especially as an experienced mum in my second, I relied heavily on the support of online resources. The Milk Meg was one of those online support systems for me: through her online offerings she helped with all things breastfeeding and sleep.... My latest blog discusses some of the online resources that helped me most during my pregnancies and in the postpartum stage. You can read it here: https://bit.ly/2X879ST. Did you rely on online support during your antenatal and postpartum stages? Let me know your favourite support resources below
04.01.2022 I finished my final round of parental leave in September and headed back to work part time in my corporate role. For those of you that have already returned to work after having a bub, you will understand all of the conflicting emotions that come with this. The joy, the guilt, the sadness, self doubt, the anticipation and so much more. Im hoping the below quote offers the same reassurance to other working mums that it offered me when I was heading back into the office.
04.01.2022 Im going to be honest- I find any period of lockdown with two small children very challenging. And then, when I hear other mums say they loved being at home enjoying quality family time and the slower days, I start to question myself as a mum (because shouldn't I love it too then?) I don't know any mum that doesn't compare herself to others at some point and this can bring up all kinds of emotions (generally that mum guilt is sitting right there at the top). Just a reminder: You are not alone in this and there is so much support available. The Motherkind directory is a great place to start if you want to tap into the amazing supports and services out there. https://motherkind.com.au/view-listings/
