24.01.2022 "Caroline was such a lovely instructor, the Couples Birth Preparation Workshop was really enjoyable. My husband and I walked away saying what a nice experience it was. It was so nice for us to connect and prepare for such a special time. So many great tips and advice for a nice birth experience. My husband felt he was given really valuable advice in order to offer as much support as possible during labour. There aren’t many times in life that you slow down and take a moment /... do yoga while touching your partner while doing breathing exercises, so it felt very special. I came away from the workshop feeling confident that there are techniques for me to labour comfortably." - Tania Thank you for your lovely words Tania!! It is truly special to slow down, connect with your partner and walk away feeling confident and empowered. I'm so happy you chose to attend and you both got so much out of it. I wish you both all the very best See more

15.01.2022 Check out our latest blog! A simple breathing technique to feel relaxed and energised Alternate nostril breathing is a powerful breathing technique that helps you to feel relaxed, energised and emotionally balanced. It can be practiced by anyone and is a safe breathing technique for pregnancy and postpartum.... In Yoga, this technique is called Nadi Shodhana or Nadi Shuddhi. Nadi is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘subtle energy channel’ and Shodhana or Shuddhi means to clean/purify. Our energy channels need to be open for us to be in good physical and mental health. But they can get blocked because of stress, toxins or emotional upheavals. These blockages can manifest both physically and emotionally including low energy, depression or sluggishness, anger, itchiness and dry skin, to name a few. What are the benefits? Reduce stress and anxiety Release tension and tiredness Improve cardiovascular function significantly lowers heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure May help with shortness of breath during pregnancy Promotes overall health and wellbeing Helps you to access a deeper mediation https://www.mothernurtureyoga.com.au/a-simple-breathing-tec

09.01.2022 Do you experience pregnancy insomnia! Sometimes you have a hard time getting to sleep, or you might wake up randomly in the middle of the night and cant get back to sleep. Either way, you need a technique to settle your busy mind. One of the best and easiest ways is to focus on your breathing. Humming bee breath is fantastic for switching you into the parasympathetic nervous state that induces relaxation and sleepiness. Try it: Rest your tongue behind your top front te...eth. Your mouth is closed but your teeth are lightly parted. Cover your eyes with your hands and place your thumbs in your ears. Doing this closes off the senses or gateways and magnifies the vibrations within your skull. Inhale through your nose and then exhale and hum, making a sound like a bumble bee. Repeat this 10 times or more, until you feel relaxed. Once youve done this, you can lie back down and count your breaths backwards starting at 100. For example 100 breathe in, breathe out, 99 breathe in, breathe out and so on. See more

I think it Keren was a fabulous teacher who obviously has a wealth of knowledge around breastfeeding and I hope my breastfeeding journey will be as amazing. It was amazing that she explained the options and what can go wrong and right. Those self massages were without a doubt so refreshing and really did help me to sleep like a baby last night. I think that this workshop is well worth it as many people are not aware of these exercises could be very useful to any breastfeeding mother. It was also fabulous how Keren had a none judgement attitude the entire workshop and she answered all questions amazingly." - Lisa

04.01.2022 Posted by @diariesofamodernmum: Yoga takes you into the present moment. The only place where life exists. It is the dance of every cell with the music of every breath that creates inner serenity and harmony I have truly been enjoying @mothernurtureyoga and their amazing weekly online Yoga classes - perfect for these times! - They offer prenatal and postnatal classes as well as Mum & Bub classes and retreats ... The class is at 11am every Thursday and I love that: - they send a recording of the class afterwards to do at your leisure, so don't stress if you need to spend time settling/feeding/changing baby during the class - or even if you can't make the class - they send you a suggested Spotify playlist prior to each class - you also get a handout emailed to you along with the recording after the class If you have never tried yoga before, I highly recommend them, you will love @mothernurtureyoga Also, yoga is the fountain of youth: youre only as young as your spine is flexible!
