16.01.2022 As the new year rolls on I see the floods of new faces in the gyms chasing a new and healthier version of themselves with hope that a new year will keep them inspired and on track. A lot of these new year resolutions become laughed at and judged; however I believe if anyone needs a push like a new year to get them in the gym so be it! It takes courage to make that commitment in the first place; the next step is committing yourself to entering the gym and beginning your journ...ey. After getting into the gym you need dedication to keep returning to the gym to see those results. This takes time and with time people lose motivation . My love of exercise and having a general healthy lifestyle blossomed from the local country sports that I played growing up; being in a team environment saw my passion for fitness quickly grow. From a young age I understood that teamwork truly does make drea...ms work and come to life. The fitness industry allows for every single person to become a part of a team, an alliance with the same goal of becoming a healthier version of you; no matter what the outcome is. 2015 was a year of amazing new beginnings for me. I became a personal trainer early in the year fulfilling a long-term dream of mine every single day I get to combine my passion with my work. 03.01.2022 A little bit about me and where my journey started and where I am at now I am originally a country girl who attended boarding school in Adelaide. I have always played sport growing up including soccer and netball and had a passion for running! I would run every day and enjoyed competing in that area. When I finished school I started at a gym training full body almost every day and was a bit of a cardio bunny - I was always very small and slim for my age but had no muscle t...one. I then found a coach and began my journey to stage. Before long I had a workplace accident and injured my back which in turn put a halt on all my training and my competition prep - during this time I sourced a new trainer to help me with my diet whilst I was unable to exercise. I became extremely interested in nutrition and began a sports nutrition course to build knowledge, this then turned into studying my Personal Training course.. Lets just say I had a lot of time on my hands whilst I was bed ridden! I changed from studying nursing to nutritional medicine and got my first job as a personal trainer. I started easing back into training and changed my training style to split training and lifting heavy in conjunction with a clean diet plan with the aim to grow as much as I could before competing in a few months time. My knowledge and love for nutrition and fitness grew immensely in this time! Comp time came around and I managed to place 1st in my first competition and 2nd in my second competition which was amazing to see my hard work pay off. I then moved into an 8 month off season to grow as much as possible. These days I run my own personal training business and am currently under 2 weeks out from my next competition! Yay! The rest will be updated as it comes... :) I hope that gives a little insight of my life and how set backs are not always negative - it changed my life for the better

01.01.2022 Body image and self confidence! There are so many pressures not only on females but males to look a certain way, to act a certain way and most of all to change who they are. I see it every day, people want to change their body, change how they act to suit a stereotype and in the end they lose themselves. What is happiness if you are so busy pretending to be someone your not? We have all been there at one point and I certainly have but lately I have worked hard to be confiden...t in myself and have a positive body image and I am the happiest I have been. Live life, treat your body well, be confident in who you are and reap the rewards. Negative self talk leads to so many issues, how can you live a happy life when you are constantly doubting yourself and being unhappy with the way you look. My aim is to promote body positivity as much as possible! I want girls to be happy with their bodies! Be happy with who they are and be confident in themselves! Exercise because you love your body, eat well because you want to nourish your body and be positive so that you can lead a happy life and to shine! Lets start the movement to positive body image and leading a positive life!

01.01.2022 Sundays are the perfect time to reset and prepare for the week ahead. I have found overtime that a Sunday well spent really does set you up for a good week. Use this time to prepare some meals for the week, have some "you" time to mentally reset and give yourself a break from the busy world we live in. I enjoy a slow Sunday morning followed by some cardio of choice; today I decided upon a mix up session of the cross trainer followed by a combination of HIIT exercised inclu...ding battle ropes and skipping. The rest of my day usually consists of preparing meals for the week, planning out my training, having some down time and of course a sneaky training session! So... plan your week of training, prepare your meals, take some time out for yourself and see how much this impacts the week ahead. Organisation is the key to success Steph xx
