15.01.2022 Glucose tolerance test - the date scone edition! Currently trialing a @freestylediabetes Libre flash meter. These are used in diabetes management and constantly takes blood glucose levels (BGLs) and you scan it with a reader or phone to get the result. As a Diabetes Dietitian, it is so interesting to look at how my BGLs respond with food & activity. Wanted to look at the impact of a high carb, high Gi food. To be accurate, checked scone weight & was surprised it had 76g carbs as my estimate was about 55g? My profile shows a typical trend of BGLs peaking 1 hour after carbs are eaten & retuned 2 hours after. #sconesforscience
