11.01.2022 In 2008 Flavia (Fazenda Bom Jesus) founded GIMA: Intermunicipal Games for the Environment which takes place right there (the little paddock in the middle ) on their family coffee farm. GIMA is like an Eisteddfod of Brazil but with a focus on sustainability. Awesome right?! . The government now helps fund GIMA and the finals week has become a Youth Cultural Expo focused on Sustainability and Environmental Preservation with workshops and seminars It's a lot of fun for the children AND the funds raised by Bom Jesus Farm, Minas hill & Australian Coffee Roasters support the infrastructure and the prizes: school supplies & bicycles . Now that's a feel-good story for today's heavy times.

What does this mean? Due to Covid, many Brazilian children were not able to continue their schooling due to a lack of technology for remote learning.
