21.01.2022 Yesterday we posted the new recommendations for community sport from NSW Health - see full announcement from Sport NSW here: https://drive.google.com//1rbl0oJ-55y8NLPfreiwzZAmQQ/view Since posting the Sport NSW and NSW Health announcement (as expected) we have received an extremely high number of calls and emails. To follow on from yesterday’s communication, as many people have pointed out it is a recommendation. Motorcycling NSW are not stopping clubs from running event...s and as communicated to all our clubs we encourage them to continue running local club competitions and Ride Park Days. The recommendations coming from Sport NSW and NSW Health are designed to stop the spread of Covid-19 in NSW and to ensure it is not being spread by inter-regional contact through community sport. These recommendations are for the clubs to consider and make sure they are doing all they can to keep their members, volunteers, participants and providers safe and healthy. Motorcycling NSW will continue to communicate with our clubs daily (sometimes even multiple times a day) to make sure they have all the up top date information available.

19.01.2022 NEW RECOMMENDATIONS FOR COMMUNITY SPORT FROM NSW HEALTH Due to uncertainty in the continually changing health environment, shown below are new recommendations for community sport that have been advised today by Dr Kerry Chant, Chief Medical Officer, NSW Health.... Sporting organisations are requested to commence implementation of these recommendations by Wednesday, 19 August and it is anticipated that they will be in place for the next six (6) weeks. At this stage, community sport may be able to continue as it is currently being implemented providing that it does not require inter-regional mixing including activities which bring together participants (including spectators and officials) from organisations in different regions of Sydney, from a rural area into a metro area and vice versa, and movement between different rural areas. It is essential that all community sports organisations have a COVID-19 Safety Plan in place, and are fully compliant with their Plan: https://www.nsw.gov.au//community-sporting-competitions-an NSW Health continues to monitor the situation throughout the State, and the Office of Sport and Sport NSW will communicate any future recommendations, which we will continue to advise all members and clubs. Thank you for your support in helping to keep community sport COVID-19 safe.

13.01.2022 It's #RUOKDay, a reminder that every day is a day to start a conversation that could change a life. Today we're calling on all our Motorcycling community to nit only ask R U OK? But to keep the conversation going when someone says they're not OK. There's more to say after R U OK?... Learn what to say when listening with an open mind Learn what to say when encouraging action Learn what to say when checking in Learn how to continue a conversation that could change a life. When we know what to say next we can help someone open up and find pathways to support long before they're in crisis. #theresmoretosay #RUOK #RUOKeveryday

13.01.2022 Motorcycling NSW’s Dirt Track Sports Committee has taken the difficult decision to reconfigure the Dirt Track and Track Championship for 2020. With the current COVID-19 pandemic and the dynamic climate it was decided that a more stable calendar where NSW Championships could be completed if circumstances changed would be the better option for 2020. The revised format for NSW Dirt Track and Track Championships is as follows.... NSW Junior Track Championship - Tamworth MCC - Oakburn Park- 15th August NSW Senior Track Championship - Tamworth MCC - Quirindi Show Ground - 19th / 20th September NSW Junior and Senior Dirt Track Championship (in conjunction with Akubra Classic)- Macleay District MCC - 31st Oct / 1st Nov. The plan is to now run the multi round championship format in 2021. Thank you for your understanding. Motorcycling NSW Dirt Track Sports Committee
