19.01.2022 It’s great to be on the grid at Bathurst! Having already been locked into a drive, it’s been a tough few months with COVID-19 and not knowing if I would get ano...ther drive so late into the season. Thankfully since 23Red shut down I’ve had great support from a few people close to me, largely Steve and Dee Caunt and their Fire Service Plus and C1 Speed Indoor Karting & Laser Tag businesses. Steve has had my back since it all went down and I can’t thank him enough. Also to Ben and Rachael Eggleston Motorsport and our Super2 supporters including Noble Logistics. I’m really looking forward to joining a top team in Brad Jones Racing and Jack Smith in the SCT Logistics Holden Commodore - in what is Holden’s last year supporting Supercars. It’s a slightly different mindset going to Bathurst with a Rookie, but my job stays the same. I’m looking forward to lending my experience to really help Jack and the team get a good, solid result. I’m looking forward to getting back to the Mountain, last time I was there we were on the podium

18.01.2022 This is what a real "progressive" Government fund's. Mildura must wake up to the urgency of building a track here, we need the visitors, the high spending motorsport visitors that all the other towns building tracks know they will attract. We've spent far too much on one project, we need to spend on a high return to the community project, a racetrack that will self fund it's future and pour money into the region.

It was a great day an...d one the team thoroughly deserved, and hopefully we can carry the momentum to Bathurst in two weeks time. Thanks again, it meant heaps to me.

05.01.2022 Seems a little funny posting about this again, because only 4 weeks ago Super2 wasn’t on at Bathurst! But after a bigger back flip than Travis Pastrana at Nitro... Circus, it’s back on but Eggleston Motorsport and I won’t be on the grid. Here’s the statement from the team, for which I fully support. Something like $40,000-$50,000 in quarantine and wages before the truck is even unloaded at Bathurst is just a little out of reach for us!!! Unfortunately as a business it was not viable or possible for us to enter the Bathurst round with the various border closures in place. As a Victorian based team we would of had to quarantine for 14 days prior to the event and some of our crew would have had to quarantine on their return leg to other states, making it 3 weeks total away from other business and jobs. A number of our crew are contractors who also have full time jobs. The cost this would add to an already expensive exercise is unrealistic, especially in these times. We are disappointed that given current circumstances outside of teams control, Supercars reversed their decision to reinstate the event as a championship round and chose not to run it as a round for no points ie non championship. Every other major support category championship in Australia has chosen not to run championship rounds during this time so that all teams are all on equal terms. We have been involved in the series since 2003 and haven’t missed a round from 2013 onwards, which is 51 consecutive Super 2 rounds so its disappointing that we cannot continue that streak. We showed we had fast drivers and cars this year by winning the opening two races and overall round in Adelaide and hope that the series is strong in 2021 for us to pick up where we left off I want to thank Ben and Rachael Eggleston for their support and commitment to motorsport over many years. Also to the many part time members of the @eggleston_motorsport team that come away racing with them.
