19.01.2022 Carter Thompson #21 made an excellent start to his 300 Supersport campaign with the GTR MotoStars Team on the weekend, finishing 3rd overall at the NSW Road Racing Championships at Sydney Motorsport Park and even taking a win in Race 2! It’s was Carter’s first time on the 2020 Yamaha R3 and he was on the pace immediately! Big thanks to the whole Thompson crew and of course to Team Principal Heath Griffin who worked hard all weekend in challenging conditions! ... The GTR MotoStars Team made it’s racing debut in the ASBK - Australian Superbikes last year, and made an immediate impact, fielding 16-year-old class rookie, Max Stauffer, in the 600 Supersport Class, Archie McDonald in the Supersport 300 and R3 cup classes, as well as drafting in 13-year-old Carter Thompson to join Archie in the Supersport 300 and R3 cup. 10.01.2022 BAD NEWS: MotoStars ELITE Camp- CANCELLED We've just been informed by the accomodation venue that our booking for the Elite Camp has been cancelled to accomodate essential SES workers called in to assist the area damaged by the flood. Alternative accomodation was searched for extensively, however, nothing suitable was found for the dates required, and so, we are forced to cancel this SOLD OUT event.... We will issue FULL REFUNDS to all participants. We are so bummed out by this news, but understand the priority to support those affected badly by the flood. Tomorrow's training day at Port Macquarie Kart Track will STILL GO AHEAD.

10.01.2022 MOTOSTARS NATIONALS CANCELLED FOR 2020 MotoStars Pty Ltd, in consultation with Motorcycling Australia, regretfully announce the cancellation of the Australian Supermoto Championships, and the Australian Junior Road Racing Championships for 2020. Billed as the MotoStars Nationals which was set to take place in Proserpine, QLD, on December 4-6, subsequent restrictions surrounding COVID-19, along with the overall instability and predictability of future restrictions, have for...ced organisers to abandon this year’s event. MotoStars Director, Damian Cudlin, expressed his disappointment with the cancellation but hopes to see a return of the MotoStars Nationals in 2021. After the cancellation of the opening two rounds of the Nationals, we had hoped that a return would be possible for us in December, so we held out making a decision on the event for as long as we possibly could, said Cudlin. Unfortunately, events of this scale need months of preparation, significant investment, and a guarantee for competitors attending, and we just can’t provide that given the circumstances. MotoStars has been instrumental in the resurgence of Junior Road Racing and Supermoto in Australia and have worked hard during the lockdown to restructure its program and objectives for 2021. We are all eager to resume racing as soon as we can, but we’ve used the time to work on some changes at MotoStars that include our events, some classes, our camps, and even our own venue that we hope to open soon," said Cudlin. I thank the competitors and our loyal sponsors for their understanding during these unprecedented times, but there are positive things on the horizon, and following this lay-off we hope to attract plenty of interest in 2021.

08.01.2022 MOTOSTARS TEMPORARILY CEASES OPERATIONS Due to the rapidly changing COVID-19 regulations, we regret to announce the temporary closure of MotoStars. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected a number of businesses, sponsors, clubs and riders within MotoStars interaction and has made it impossible for us to operate at this time.... All Ride Days, Race Schools, and Elite Camps scheduled until the end of May have been cancelled. Round 1 + Round 2 of the MotoStars Nationals, featuring the Australian Junior Road Racing Championships and the Australian Supermoto Championships have also been cancelled. All bookings already received for these events will be refunded in full. At this stage, our events scheduled for July onwards remain in place, subject to review, including our round of the MotoStars Nationals in Proserpine, QLD, scheduled for the 27/28/29th of November, in the hope of a COVID-19 recovery by then. We hope you stay safe during this time, and that we can all get back to doing what we love again soon- Racing Motorcycles!

08.01.2022 What a debut year it’s been for the GTR MotoStars Team! Supporting three young class rookies- Max Stauffer #27 in the 600 Supersport Class, and Archie McDonald and Carter Thompson #racing in 300 Supersport and R3 Cup- we couldn’t be prouder of the job these kids did. Max- 3rd in the 600 Supersport Championship with his first race victory, and round win on the board already. ... Archie- 3rd in the R3 Cup and 4th in the 300 Supersport Championship with a pole position and multiple podium finishes in his first season. Carter- Drafted in for Wakefield Park after his ATC season was abandoned, he made an instant impact with pole positions, race wins, and winning the 2020 R3 Cup Championship! 05.01.2022 IT'S BACK ON! 2021 MOTOSTARS NATIONALS CALENDAR RELEASED! MotoStars in conjunction with Motorcycling Australia, are pleased to announce the official Motostars Nationals 2021 calendar, featuring the Australian Junior Road Racing Championship (AJRC) and the Australian Supermoto Championship (ASMC). The calendar delivers a new look three-round series, returning to two venues most popular with riders, and adding an exciting new one to the mix. ... Round 1 will kick off at Port Macquarie Go kart Racing Club, NSW, on the 17/18th of July featuring Pacific Park’s resurfaced road race circuit, and purpose built Supermoto section, ensuring spectators a weekend they won’t forget! The MotoStars Nationals will then head south to Marulan, in NSW, for Round 2 on the 16/17th of October at the Pheasant Wood Circuit, featuring Australia’s first bitumen jump section, bound to keep the Supermoto racers on their toes! To close off a fantastic 2021 season, the MotoStars Nationals will finish in the north of Queensland, at the Whitsunday Moto Sports Club, Proserpine Raceway, on the 4/5th of December- ending the season in style with the spectacle of night racing and special guest riders, just to add to an already action packed event! Motostars Director, Damian Cudlin, is elated with the announcement of the 2021 dates, stating: This calendar has been in planning for a long time, and we thank all our competitors and sponsors for their patience while we got this thing locked in. Obviously, we’ve been through unprecedented times and it hasn’t been easy to organize, but I think we’ve put together an exciting series at great venues that most riders will enjoy. Having two rounds in New South Wales makes our series more affordable for the majority of our competitors, and finishing in the Whitsundays at the end of the year creates the perfect holiday event we are aiming for. ONLINE BOOKINGS REQUIRED MOVING FORWARD... MotoStars will adopt an ONLINE BOOKING ONLY system in 2020, meaning paying cash on the day will no longer be accepted. Due to recent events, the COVID19 outbreak and various uncertainties in 2020, we can't afford to run events that don't cover our basic costs, so minimum numbers will be required for ALL EVENTS moving forward in 2020. WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CANCEL? If an event is cancelled due to additional COVID19 restrictions, or the event not reaching minimum numbers, or for any other reason- YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REFUNDED IN FULL- meaning, there is literally no risk in booking with us online.
