22.01.2022 Hi everyone, thought it was about time we fired up this page again. Busy days at Moto Trans, Emma and I have been very busy setting up all of the behind the scenes non fun stuff. With all of that done we are now concentrating on more fun stuff like dealing with our great customers, setting up websites etc. Also worth a mention is our new driver , Adrian, he is a super keen R1 rider, more on him in the coming days. 15.01.2022 Hi every, busy days with the setting up of this business, however we are ploughing our way through all of the jobs, lucky we have a Emma!! Here are some more happy travellers, Wendy and Tony had there Ducati shipped by us and then flew down from Northern NSW to do a lap of our fine state. I picked them up from the airport, an hour later they were on the road raring to go. They have ridden Europe and NZ, it will be interesting to see how Tassie compares. 12.01.2022 Hi everyone, a very busy week getting everything in place for our new venture. One of the new services that we are offering is "ride tasmania" how it works is,we freight interstate customers bikes to Tassie, the customer can then fly in, be picked up at the airport, do a lap of Tassie then fly home. This service is for those who havent the time to ride longer distances just to get to the Spirit terminal. The up side is its also very cost effective. This pic is of Tracey and Colin, who flew in from Brisbane last night, heading off on there Harley to see mighty Tassie. Hope you enjoyed your first 19 degree summers day!! 10.01.2022 Hi everyone, how cool is this Maico Scooter? I was with the super organised Emma the other day when her phone rang, it was Tony from Launceston, asking if we could get his newly acquired Scooter over from Melbourne, sure she says, we have the truck in Melbourne today, so several phone calls later,and a U turn or 2 from Wayne,all organised and picked up. 03.01.2022 *****WE ARE HIRING!****** FORTNIGHTLY delivery driver position available . Hours require some flexibility but generally consist of driver completing pick ups on a Tuesday, boarding the Spirit Tuesday night, delivering/picking up in Melbourne on the Wednesday, boarding the Spirit wednesday night and delivering around Tas on Thursday to arrive home late Thursday night. Occasionally additional hours on Monday/Friday. The hours usually add up to around 35-40, would be class...ed at casual, pay rate to be negotiated with succesful applicant. This role includes driving a medium rigid truck around Tasmania and Melbourne, moving motorbikes (and sometimes other gear) on and off the truck including rearranging truck to suit schedule, taking photos and descriptions of bikes upon delivery and pick up, liasing with mainland delivery companys and detailed customer service both on the phone to organise times and in person when picking up and dropping off. Driver is required to be: Trust worthy, reliable, friendly, good with directions, someone who enjoys driving, some mechanical/motorbike knowledge preferable, reasonably fit (this role can be quite physical)willing to be flexible with last minute plan changes and extra hours. 02.01.2022 Meet my brother Andrew - shorter older and balder but not bad with his motorbike knowledge and experiance. We did a run together last Thursday which was a great day full of laughs. He will be doing some delivery work for Moto Trans in the near future
