25.01.2022 It’s Dementia Action Week! We have been working with Clarence City Council as part of their new dementia-friendly cafe initiative. People with dementia and their family, friends and carers are always welcome at the cafe, but we also have a designated catch-up on Wednesday afternoons for groups and individuals wishing to have a coffee and a chat. We have introduced some new measures to make visits easier for our friends, including easy-read menus, additional signage and staf...f training. Oh, and we were in the paper!

24.01.2022 Hello friends, we have some exciting news! On Saturday we are re-opening our indoor dining area! We are reserving this area for customers joining us for dine-in meals. As indoor seating is limited, and social distancing requirements remain in place, we recommend phoning the cafe to make a table booking. Drinks will continue to be served in our compostable cups (or BYO keep cup) and coffee drinkers are welcome to use our outdoor tables. ... Thanks for your patience as we take these little steps towards normal operations!

Fun fact: A few years ago 3,500 people participated in a psychological study on knitting. More than 80% of participants reported that ...knitting made them feel more calm, happy and less stressed! Join in the Science Week fun no previous knitting experience required!
