18.01.2022 I very much doubt that many people know this but plaster is something that was literally bred into me! My great great grandfather was a plasterer (as were his brothers), my grandfather is a plasterer (as are my great uncle's), my father is a plasterer (as is my uncle) and my cousins are plasterers! When I say plastering is in the family I mean it! Dad often tells stories of my, great-great, my pop and my great uncle's making cornice from a mould filled with horse hair, that... they then poured plaster into. How times have changed hey?! Whilst it is not necessarily the family path that I have taken, plaster moulds is something that I love and take a lot of pride in. My fondest memory as a child is pulling dried plaster from dad's chest hair and listening to him squeal! I also loved "plastering" his screw holes when i was let loose with him on a job site. Now to see my kids get equally excited to help me "make plasters " fills my heart! They think cracking the plasters from the moulds is the best thing ever. Im not sure what the relevance is of my post, but i was feeling nostalgic and felt like sharing

My daughter's school put out a call to cook for a family in need- so roast chook, potato bake and green beans done My husband's brother and housemate dropped over some mince last week to cook for them (which was off so went to the dog)- so savoury mince and potato bake done ... A family friend is living up the batcho lifestyle so to ensure he eats something other than bakery pies and beer- chicken legs, green beans and potato bake done Oh and the husband's crib for tonight is made. Now what to cook my family for dinner?? #stillhavetodohousework

08.01.2022 Ive had a great holiday and time away in Dubbo with the kids and Dad for the last week of our holidays! Lots of family fun, the zoo and catch ups. I hope you all also had a great last week of the school holidays and are ready to tackle term 3 ! Show me what you've been up to?
