Congratulations to Mark Porter who completed his 50th parkrun today! ... An extra thank you to our volunteers - Elizabeth HUMPHRIES Nicole HAVRANEK Michael DALY Kate POTTER Robbie POTTER Rebecca BROWN Sandeep CHANDRA Charlotte HARPER Pam CUNNINGHAM Tamara BOX Emily WHITTEN Josie LEMM and Mary-Anne LAND - without you there would be no parkrun Our next parkrun at Mount Ainslie is Saturday 2nd January 2021 with Gungahlin and Ginninderra parkrun running on New Years Day. 24.01.2022 Woohoo! (Not)parkrun is here!!!

23.01.2022 It was a stunning morning for parkrun today! We had a large contingent of visitors with us too, we hope you enjoyed the course! This morning we had a parkrunner trip over and require first aid. Parkrunners around her flew into action! She was assisted by half a dozen people who bandaged her up, walked with her back to the start/finish line, and then took her off to the doctor. A huge thankyou to these people who were willing to drop everything and help a fellow parkrunner in need, it really exemplifies the amazing community we have here at parkrun.

22.01.2022 Here is the latest update from parkrun HQ.

20.01.2022 National Volunteer week starts today and the theme this year is Changing Communities. Changing Lives which is what parkrun is all about. All of us here at Mount Ainslie parkrun would like to thank all our volunteers who have put their hands up to help over the last two years. Parkrun wouldn’t happen without you

15.01.2022 What a contrast to the previous Saturday! A warm sunny day yesterday had dried out the trail and it was sunny and not windy today, a very good welcome to the many first timers who participated. A number of participants also clocked personal bests. A top job by Run Director Giles Lamb and the rest of the volunteers who managed the large field of 178 very smoothly.

14.01.2022 We are after an additional volunteer barcode scanner this Saturday. No experience required (but you do need to bring along a smartphone). Comment below if you can assist.

12.01.2022 Happy parkrun eve! Just a reminder that you need to check-in using the Check-in CBR app as part of our COVID-19 agreement with the ACT Government. You can do this anytime tomorrow if you don't bring your phone to parkrun, or we will have the QR code available at the start/finish line. See you all tomorrow.... #loveparkrun https://www.covid19.act.gov.au/business-and-wo/check-in-cbr

11.01.2022 It was wedding bells and glorious weather that greeted nearly 180 people at Mount Ainslie parkrun this morning. Congratulations to Daniel Green, who sent his blushing bride to Burley Griffin parkrun whilst he tackled our trail course. Also, a shout out to Braidwood Showground parkrun - lovely to see their director with us today, and to discuss the hopeful day in the future when NSW parkruns return. Finally, John Harding celebrated his today - a great stalwart of Canberra running

06.01.2022 Good morning all, It is with a heavy heart that we let you know that Gungahlin and Ginninderra parkrun will NOT be going head on New Year’s Day. This is due to a number of factors, the most important being the worry that one or both events would go over the limit of people at gatherings and that we have been unable to get the required revised permissions from the ACT Government. ... This means that there will be no New Year’s Day parkrun’s in the ACT but all events will be running as usual on Saturday 2nd January 2021. Here’s hoping that 2021 will mean a return to regular parkrun’s without any cancellations

04.01.2022 (Not)parkrun is now live

We’re always keen to hear from anyone who’d like to volunteer.
