24.01.2022 An easter egg-acado won't break your teeth but we are still here to help you for your dental emergencies if a real one has! Whilst we we do have some restrictions on non-essential treatment we are here to help if you meet COVID-19 restrictions as having an emergency, do not have cold or flu symptoms and have not been in close contact with someone that has. As a result some clinics have closed completely. If your regular dentist is shut, we are still more than happy to help you and send the treatment notes to your regular dentist for them to review once they re open.

22.01.2022 Happy Chomper is looking for our next superstar trainee dental assistant. Have you just finished school and COVID has ruined your chance for a gap year to find yourself (when we both know the only thing you were finding was a headache at the bottom of a cheap tequila bottle in the absence of responsible adult supervision), sitting at home during lockdown thinking its time for a change of scenery, or just sitting at home because your previous career no longer exists. We want y...ou! You will be a happy, enthusiastic hard working person, who likes a varied day and lots of interaction with people (admittedly our patients are some pretty awesome people though) If nothing else we have a ready source of masks....... You will receive both TAFE and on the job training for what can be a fast paced and varied career. So given you have a bit of spare time, and if you are a school leaver not much to put on a resume we want the following as an application. Introduce yourself to me via a short email, (who you are, any relevant skills and perhaps even your most useless skill (Can you lick your elbow, can your dog do a cool trick, you might even have an arts degree), as well as this I want a short video (just a minute or so) letting us know why you are our next superstar. 20.01.2022 Back to school, back to school... We may not have mastered yoga, became isofit or read the book that was collecting dust on our nightstands but restrictions have been eased to a level 2 meaning most dental treatments can be resumed again. Expect a call from us to resume your treatment.

17.01.2022 Our team of assistants and receptionists worked hard this week helping us catch up on those who had to be rescheduled for COVID19. Thanks for all your hard work- we couldn’t do it without them, especially with all the triple wiping! A big thank you also to our patients for your understanding. If you haven’t rebooked, we are back in tomorrow morning for those still waiting to reschedule!

17.01.2022 COVID-19 Update. Hello all, due to the increase of incidence of COVD-19 (Corona Virus), the government has placed restrictions on access to dental care. Don't despair we aren't leaving you, however under the level 3 guidelines we are now adhering to, we can only perform emergency dental care. ... Got a sore tooth, we got you, and our phones will be answered, and a dentist available for prompt emergency care. You can always reach Dr Chris on 0412166874 (or at least his voicemail), if needed. Stay safe, look after yourselves, if you're unsure if its an emergency ring and ask. This too shall pass. Now for the fun part, Dr Chris got himself a puppy and time away from work, it's going to be the best trained poorly behaved puppy EVER!

10.01.2022 Hello all, As of late last night we are "operating" at level 5 restrictions. I use the term operating quite loosely because it means we are actually unable to perform any dental work. Our phones will still be answered during business hours and we will work to offer advice and temporary solutions (Nothing like a bit of DIY dentistry to fill your COVID spare time). Let us know if we can help, stay safe, stay home, and try to stay entertained.

09.01.2022 Question for all my kid patients out there... will the tooth fairy come three times if the one tooth comes out in two pieces because it was so curved? Thanks Dr Chris! I would never refer a patient to see a dentist I wouldn’t see myself, however not so sure on his suggestion for my dinner...

08.01.2022 Did you catch this on 9 news? We bulk-bill eligible children for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule making it easier for you to take your kids to the dentist, appointments available on weekends and until 8pm.

08.01.2022 Work from home - aka 6 cups of tea or coffee and ensuring your zoom meeting doesn't show your pajama pants. A few tips for those from working from home: - try to drink water after tea or coffee to prevent staining and erosion to your teeth - try to avoid snacking, especially on sweet or acidic foods. It is much more tempting at home! - brush your teeth in the morning as you normally would, even if its a party pants or pajamas day... - ensure you drink water, have a water bottle next to you as you would at work to encourage you to not forget We are still here for emergencies, so if you reach for the pork crackle, nuts or minties whilst working from home we are still able to treat you if you meet the government recommendations on need for emergency treatment.

03.01.2022 Good morning, under the new S.A. health directive issued last night and effective this morning. All people attending the clinic must wear a single use surgical mask. (Unfortunately cloth masks are not acceptable). We will provide a mask if you need. We apologise for any inconvenience but playing along might mean you get to spend Christmas with your whole family (apparently this is a good thing.....) if you have any questions please call.
