22.01.2022 Wildlife update: The animal catcher came back today with the warmer weather and has not been able to find anything. Based on his expertise, he feels that it was more than likely a whip snake based on the description (They are virtually harmless, though a bite can be painful) and it would have moved on (schools are usually too noisy for snakes). However we will continue to monitor and be vigilant and educate our students on wildlife safety.

20.01.2022 Return to full-time face-to-face learning. All schools are returning to full on-campus learning from Monday 25 May. All activities and operations will be in line with AHPPC guidelines and NSW Health advice, as applicable. The best outcome for students is that they are back at school. Schools continue to be safe and operations are in line with AHPPC guidelines.... All school assemblies, school incursions and excursions are on hold until further notice. All students are expected back at school unless they are unwell or have a medical certificate to support their absence. Please note, students who are residing with a family member in one of the categories identified as being at increased risk, should attend school unless a medical practitioner advises otherwise. The parent or carer should provide written confirmation from the treating health professional that the student is unable to attend school. Schools will continue to be responsible for providing work for students for the period they are prevented from being at school. At risk categories People aged 70 years and over All people with compromised immune systems People aged 65 years and over only with chronic medical conditions Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over the age of 50 with chronic medical conditions. Students are encouraged to wash hands regularly and learning and sporting equipment is cleaned between uses. Students should continue to bring water bottles from home to fill at water bubblers rather than drink by mouth. The department has implemented an enhanced hygienic cleaning process in schools in addition to the standard daily clean. Target areas include high-touch areas and other hard surfaces, door handles, light switches and handrails in stairways and movement areas. Enhanced cleaning is delivered as part of the daily cleaning of schools. See more

14.01.2022 Dear Parents/Caregivers Please note that the current advice from NSW health is that parents/carers should not be coming on to school grounds. However, given that both school gates are on a busy road, we feel that closing the gates to parents poses a greater risk of injury from cars and also does not encourage social distancing. To keep our school safe, we ask that all parents do the following: Avoid coming on to school grounds where possible. Drop off and pick up student...s quickly. Please try to keep moving: Avoid long conversations. Ensure physical distancing. Currently the school is operating in line with the following advice from NSW Health. Students to be kept in stage groups where possible. Parents and students NOT to attend if unwell. Students and staff will need to provide a copy of a negative COVID-19 test result before being permitted to return to school. No interschool activities. School assemblies will continue to be recorded and shown in class. No group singing, chanting or playing of instruments. No graduations, transitions, camps, excursions, orientations, gala days or ceremonies. Parent teacher meetings or discussions to occur online or over the phone. Thank you for your continued support! Mick Kelly Principal
