With good news released today that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for a return to the hockey pitch. The Qld Government has released a 3 Stage plan for reintroducing community sport. ... The below survey is for the local Mount Isa community to gather their input strategies for a Return to Hockey Plan over the coming weeks & months. Currently there are ZERO cases of Covid-19 in NWQ and MIHA will be ensuring that the Return to Hockey Plan complies with all government restrictions and rules. At present the association is sitting in caretaker mode. These will be utilised to make the volunteers contributions easier and smoother for the volunteers. 1 x New Desktop Computer ( Office ) - Supplied by Harvey Norman... 20 x New Whistles ( Umpires ) - Supplied by Just Hockey 4 x Large Anti Fatigue Matting ( Kitchen ) - Supplied by Seton Australia 20 x First Aid Training Courses ( Coaches ) - Supplied by Martyr Training Services. We have also been very lucky to receive 80 packs of Junior Get Playing gear. These were made possible thanks to Hockey Qld and Hockey Australia. Don't forget the upcoming sessions and AGM.

13.01.2022 A huge and grateful shout out to Cameron Kidd Kidd 'n' Co Construction Pty Ltd who has fully restored the clubhouse verandah and replaced the old canteen screens. His crew have done an amazing job and also got it all done in record time. This upgrade was completely funded 100% under the Community Gambling Fund Grant and Mount Isa City Council Grant received earlier in year. We look forward to members being able to enjoy the new upgrade when we return to play.

Blue Card Services are auditing Sport and Recreation organisations throughout 2020-2021 and penalties for non-compliance can be over $66,000 / 5 years jail. ... The changes include: the No Card, No Start lawyou cannot work or volunteer in a position requiring a blue card until your application is approved a new rule for expiring cardsif you don't renew by the expiry date, you will be subject to the No Card, No Start law and cannot work a requirement to notify us about changes in your police information as a card holder or applicant stricter requirements for people who rely on an exemption to work or volunteer with childrenthrough the introduction of the terms restricted person and restricted employment, and associated offences a new frequency testif you only work 7 or fewer days in a calendar year, a blue card may not be required. This does not apply if you operate a business an expiry date for exemption cards for Queensland police and teachers, so they will need to be renewed if still required.
