24.01.2022 MLGC member Mel O’Hern is like a quality bottle of red wine....he keeps getting better with age. Congratulations Mel on achieving the amazing feat of breaking your age. At the age of 78, Mel shot 77 off the stick in today’s competition......well done! His good friends Frank Broadby, Tim McAuliffe and Mark Fyfe were in the group and laid claim it was their efforts and encouragement that kept Mel focused right to the last putt. They were last seen celebrating over a glass of red in the clubhouse. Note - Mel has once previously shot his age but this is the first time bettering his age. #shootyourage #mlgc

08.01.2022 MLGC Junior players win at Junior State Amateur | Mount Lawley juniors dominated the sub-junior section of the Drummond Junior State Amateur which was played at Hartfield Country Club over 36 holes on Sunday. Amanda Gan got away to a great start in the morning shooting 76 to be sitting in second at lunch time. An afternoon 81 saw her finish third overall but it was good enough for her to win the State sub-junior girls title. Great work Amanda. Amanda continues a long traditio...n of Mount Lawley girls winning this title with Ruby Fry having won last year and Hannah Green also having won the title a number of years ago. Ollie Marsh started the day a little more slowly shooting a morning round of 79 to sit 9 shots off the lead.
