17.01.2022 Great News the Rifle Range at 9 mile Road Officially Opens this Saturday the 21st November. Golden Mount Shooters Association Incorporated will be opened in the morning by Steve Andrew MP and Councillor Cherie Rutherford. The range offers Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun events. Contact Mr Ray Bellert 0428 395 895 for membership enquiries. There are two gates . Close the gates after yourself. It is well maintained dirt road from the Burnett Highway turnoff. 15.01.2022 The shop is being well supported by the local sporting and primary producer shooting community. I appreciate this Immensely. I am steadily increasing the variety and range of products. I have an exemption application in with Licensing in order to ONLY process PTAs and value firearms at the shop ....not store any on premises. I will meet Rocky prices where able to !!!! More calibers of ammo due in next week . A large selection here now I intend on adding trading days in a week or two

11.01.2022 the reason why I went from a right handed shooter in the Army with SLR to a left handed one ...with massive improvements in my Qualification / Classification shoots etc ...but still handy to become able to use left or right regardless . When we went to F88 , I had a F88 that had the bolt etc changed for left handed - the days when you had a personal weapon in the Armoury that NO one else was issued except you. The F88 due to its less recoil and optic sight made bad shots good shots, good shots excellent shots and excellent shots Marksman Qualified ( Crossed Rifles ) when the ammo was available to do the shoot . 09.01.2022 With the popularity of metal detecting increasing. It is wise to know what you may encounter in Central Queensland. The Rockhampton area ( including Mount Morgan ) during WW2 was a masive training area for Australian and US troops heading up to New Guinea to fight the Imperial Japanese Army. From 1942 onwards ..also training occurred before and during WW1 , between the wars , and to very recent times. Shown in the first photo are two very common grenades ( these two are repl...icas...for a museum ) on the left the US MK 2 Pineapple Grenade, on the right the Australian M36 Mills Grenade. Below are real INERT - FREE FROM EXPLOSIVE grenades and mortars that may be encountered. Part of a 4.2 inch mortar that has exploded on impact also shown. If you come across items like these. Don't touch. Mark the location. And advise local police. Better safe than sorry. ALL ITEMS HELD LEGALLY UNDER CORRECT LICENSE. If you find anything I could certainly identify it without touching it, I don't blow Unexploded bombs up , its the job of Government Authorities like the Army etc to do this See more

Re Order of Gold Sluices are on the way, along with the kids mini pocket sluices I also have arriving a Highbanker Modular Gold Sluice Kit, this will have a 2000 Gallon Per Hour pump.
