24.01.2022 Despite IT issues with results finalisation Santa's Mixed Bag was played in ideal weather conditions with the course offering many challenges, especially for visitors Elliot and Russell....... Paul and Beth Wright took up the option of playing as a 2 person Ambrose and with 6 drives required from each and a combined handicap of 14 ....and in a fine example of teamwork took out the day.

21.01.2022 The roos at Mount Pleasant Golf and FootGolf Course are pretty smart.... the first photo shows that they know the safest place from golf shots is the green....lol and in the second one acts as a caddie for a regular FootGolfer and is giving puttin advice from afar...and in in a pretty casual pose.....

20.01.2022 Still got a chance to nominate a team for this Sunday's Edenmae Estate Wines Ambrose. A bit of fun with nearest the pins, straightest drives, longest drives and longest putts. Grab three mates and give me call.... oh and BBQ at the 7th, 12th and 16th tee blocks included so you don't. have to starve......I can smell the onions already....

17.01.2022 ...celebrating another fine days work from the expert turf laying team, culminating in the 'pièce de résistance' - the new practice putting green - suberbly enclosed by Dave''s Great & Defining Wall...And not forgetting - the green and 'pleasant' water featured view from the future 4th Hole Tee Off Green...on course for a bright and beautiful 2021...

14.01.2022 We had to postpone the original date for our Edenmae Estate Wines Ambrose because of COVID 19 but the rescheduled Ambrose is fast approaching. Make sure your team is nominated or re-nominated by contacting the club, Beth or Dave....by email, SMS, Messenger, pigeon, smoke signal, semaphore....whatever..... just be in it.!

14.01.2022 This week we have a little Festive Celebration with a Chrissy Lunch on Wednesday after the competition and Saturday's Santa's Mixed Bag... Prizes for overall winner and mini competition winners. Holes 1 - 6 - Par, Holes 7-12 Stableford and 13 -18 Max Stroke. Individual or Pair Ambrose are optional.

13.01.2022 Great to see more FootGolfers on the course today but a little disappointing that they appeared to forget to support the volunteers who work so hard on the course by meeting their green fee obligations. If you recognise them perhaps somebody can give them a nudge to check their memories and organise to meet their fiscal responsibility.... They had agreed to settle things after their round.!!

10.01.2022 Too hot for golfers today but fine for three groups of footgolfers from Noarlunga United, Woodcroft and Mount Barker. Plenty of bodies and banter around the clubroom which was great. For 'yours' the enemy arrived but greeted with typical Mount Pleasant hospitality.....for those who are not in the know their northern England football geography Leeds, Huddersfield and Bradford are the big derby clashes!!!

10.01.2022 With perfect conditions on and immediately after the two re-turfed greens are on their way. Thanks to our volunteers who put in a hard shift. Below is the 3rd green as of this Friday. It has been rolled twice and will be ready for sanding over the next couple of weeks. As for the next two to finish the project, we hope to get enough volunteers on Thursday 5th November from 9.30 am. fingers crossed.

08.01.2022 With a group from McLaren Vale, another from the Gawler Swim Club and the Virtus Soccer Club - Northern Demons from Port Pirie, the course had over 35 FootGolfers enjoying great weather and the challenge of our championship layout..

07.01.2022 The planned working bee for Thursday 26th November has been moved to December 10th December.......Practice Green, 11th Hole extension, 12th Hole extension, New Ladies 1st Tee Block, New 4th Tee Blocks, New Ladies 13th Tee Block.

07.01.2022 Amazing effort to lay 12 pallets of turf on our new 4th and 13th greens. We finally nailed the system and completed it in 3.5 hours. Wrights 2, Thompsons x 2 and Swanns x 3 were on board to complete the challenge. Paul S Michael H and Paul W will finish with sanding tomorrow. Looks fantastic and hope to be ready to play in early 2021.

06.01.2022 No resting on our laurels.....the practice green being prepared will be part of the final developments that we hope to conclude by the new year.. It is great to hear so much positive feedback from visitors far and wide.....from regular golfing visitors from Seacliff and Thaxted Park to FootGolfers from Naracoorte United Soccer Club. Tea Tree Gully S.C., The Cove S.C. and Metro Stars it has been a pleasure to share our beautiful surrounds to all.....On that note it is good to see a good number of nominations for the 22nd of November Edenmae Estate Wines Ambrose....still room for a few more!

05.01.2022 Apologies Folks but the extreme weather conditions with Heat and Hurricane winds has set back all of our preparatory work and to ensure us old folks don't go under with stress we have put back the Working Bee to Thursday 17th of December at 9.30 am...and we do need help to lay the turf.........if you are free this Thursday there are jobs to do on the course... fallen limbs and branches abound... whipper snipping required ....so feel free to join us as we continue to present the course as well as we are able.

05.01.2022 Chief horticulturist Gen, sourcing plants throughout the district from Gen..erous home owners, working on the practice green garden with Deb....and yours, taking a few minutes off wall building, checks out the garden plan...

03.01.2022 Everybody's favourite gathering the AGM was completed on Saturday 12/12/20.... A small quorum accepted reports from President and Treasurer which highlighted the positive growth the club has experienced this year including 5 new members in the last few weeks. The meeting also supported the re-election of executive Committee. President Dave Swann Treasurer - Beth Wright, Men's Captain - Steve Sullivan & Grounds manager Paul Wright.. Stephen Thompson has offered his service as ...the conduit for communications of ideas, suggestions, feedback and critique to ensure transparent and openness of decision making. A reminder that the final turfing working bee this Thursday assuming weather cooperation!! The practice green wall is now complete and waiting for a bit of green. Oh if anybody know how we can get a hold of 40 dwarf Nandinas for a hedge.???
