13.01.2022 Fresh from finishing fourth in the 2020 Queensland Road Racing Championship last month, Year 9 student Zak Pettendy came away with a hard-earned victory in the first two-hour motorcycle endurance race held by The Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland at Morgan Park Raceway in Warwick last weekend. After about 40 laps each on their Yamaha R3 race bikes, battling for the lead with two local young guns throughout the entire two hours at near lap record pace, Zak and his teammate Patrick Bognar won the grueling Enduro 400 race by a narrow 0.02 seconds before both of them collapsed in a heap afterwards! Zak now has his sights set on the final round of the 2020 Australian 300 Supersport Championship at the Wakefield Park circuit near Sydney next month.

07.01.2022 Last term Year 11 Earth and Environmental Science students planted organic vegetable seedlings in our very own Gilbey garden. They were harvested this week, and the Year 11 class ran a pocket bread and salad stall. Proceeds from the stall will go to purchasing trees for Koalas which the class will plant early next year. https://www.facebook.com/mspcmurwillumbah/posts/4633431170030768
