24.01.2022 Following the recent announcement from The National Cabinet that non-essential indoor gatherings of greater than 100 people will no longer be permitted from Wednesday 18 March 2020, regrettably the MWCICC Way of the Cross which was planned to take place on Good Friday, April 10 commencing from St John's Uniting Church, Mt Waverley, has been cancelled. While this is a disappointing development, our faith and our Churches are stronger than this pandemic and the control measures... that are disrupting our usual patterns of gathering. I encourage us all to uphold one another in prayer and seek deeper connection with God as we walk the way of faith in different ways in the days ahead.Following the recent announcement from The National Cabinet that non-essential indoor gatherings of greater than 100 people will no longer be permitted from Wednesday 18 March 2020, regrettably the MWCICC Way of the Cross which was planned to take place on Good Friday, April 10 commencing from St John's Uniting Church, Mt Waverley, has been cancelled. 16.01.2022 At St Luke's, we welcomed David Moffat, minister of the New Church to our Lenten study and explored the stories of Abram and Sarai, and Jesus and Nicodemus using the resource 'Water for the Journey' by Craig Mitchell.

16.01.2022 A huge thank you to Ros Faichney, who contacted all the readers for this morning's Way of the Cross, and made sure as many people as possible knew about it. Ditto to Susan Douglas, who lent her voice to the song recordings for 'stay with me', 'when his time was over', 'O Lord, hear my prayer', 'when I survey' and ' At the cross her station keeping', and to Natalie Sims from Brunswick Uniting Church who with her family made the recordings of 'were you there', and 'Jesus, remember me'.

11.01.2022 We'll be starting our livestream soon. The video is in the oven with the hot cross buns and will be ready just in time.

02.01.2022 You're invited to the St Luke's Advent Labyrinth.

01.01.2022 Good News! The Way of the Cross is going online. It will be live-streamed using Facebook here on the Mount Waverley Chadstone Inter-Church Council Facebook page. If you know someone who doesn’t have internet access, you can help them join the Way of the Cross using Zoom on a telephone (either landline or mobile). All they need to do is dial in on Good Friday from 11.10am (for an 11.15am start). First, call the Zoom local number (03) 7018 2005. Next, when the call connects they will be prompted to enter the meeting number, which is 930 421 677, and press the # key. Once they've entered that number they'll hear what’s happening, or be asked to wait if it hasn’t started yet. It’s that simple!
