25.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION Vic Pol have made it clear that shooting on a NORI form requires supervision from less than 1.5 meters which breaks the social distancing rules. Therefore NO UNLICENSED SHOOTERS ARE PERMITTED TO SHOOT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. For everyone else: We're now allowed to have multiple groups of up to 20 in the same location as long as they can maintain appropriate distancing. That means we can use both ranges. The easiest thing to do is setup each 2nd bay.... We can now return to the normal calendar - the only difference is some of the calendared events are now designated as Club Championships when they weren't before. This means we're returning to the normal start times. All ISSF club championships scheduled (Centrefire, 25P, 50P) for this weekend can be shot in the morning or afternoon session. We've also waived the $5 for remaining CCs. The AGM is still up in the air - we'll know more in coming weeks but for now assume it is still on. Now that we've got power the air range is available for use. You need a key for the roller door to access it. These will be available from this Saturday onwards for a $20 deposit - see any committee member.

24.01.2022 Corona Quiz Episode 03 Vic V SA & WA V ACT

22.01.2022 There has been a bit of confusion re: start times. Now that we are back to the "old" calendar, we're back to the "old" start times. That means 10am for ISSF and 10am for single action and classic. Also: almost everyone should have received their renewal info via email earlier this week.... Please let me know if yours didn't arrive (after you've checked your spam folder of course...) See more

20.01.2022 Update for handgun owners from LRD In response to the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, the Victorian Government had issued Stage 3 restrictions for Regional Victoria and Stage 4 restrictions for metropolitan Melbourne, meaning travel and movement throughout the state has been restricted. Under these circumstances, the Licensing and Regulation Division (LRD) are aware that licence holders have not been permitted to attend and participate at shooting clubs during this time. Due to th...ese restrictions, Victoria Police have made the decision to waive all handgun participation requirements for the 2020 calendar year effective immediately. This means that all shoots or matches required to be completed per number of classes of handgun possessed, will be exempt for the 2020 calendar year. Approved shooting clubs will still be required to submit an annual report for 2020 within 3 months after the end of the calendar year to the Chief Commissioner of Police in accordance with s.123C of the Firearms Act 1996. Licence holders are not required to submit requests for exemption or modification, this variation applies to all affected licence holders. If you have further questions, please email [email protected] or if you need more information about the current restriction levels in Victoria, please refer to the Department of Health and Human Services website. We would like to thank you for your continued cooperation during this time and hope you are staying safe and well. Regards, Licensing and Regulation Division Regulatory Services Department Victoria Police See more

19.01.2022 EGM and AGM - scheduled as a Zoom meeting on Saturday November 14th at 2pm. We are required to hold our AGM before 31st of December and the committee does not believe a full AGM at the club will be possible before that date and so a Zoom meeting is the next best thing. Please let the secretary know if you are planning to attend and a link to the zoom meeting will be sent.... If you cannot attend please send an apology to the secretary as soon as possible.

19.01.2022 The Secretary has forwarded this information for members Ken Hirst passed away this morning. Ken has been a long time member of the club and was active until a few years ago when illness forced him to stop shooting - however he remained a club member.... Condolences to Ken's friends and family.

11.01.2022 Forwarded from Black Widow Projectiles COMPETITION RESTARTS IN VICTORIA!!!! As stated in a previous post - all clubs can recommence competition as of 11.59pm on Sunday 21st June.... There is no limit to the numbers of competitors but there are still restrictions on clubrooms and canteens as per the DHHS policies. Numbers in clubrooms are restricted to 20 and social distancing is still applicable. VCTA advises all clubs and members to make themselves aware of the regulations that will be in place as of the restart date and ensure that they comply. These regulations can be found on the Sport & Recreation website and the DHHS website. GOOD LUCK & GOOD SHOOTING!

10.01.2022 Updated information provided by the secretary of MDPC. With the rules now eased to allow 20 people we've put a regular member key back on the gate so you are able to use the range for practice. In the unlikely event that there are already 20 people there when you arrive you MUST leave the property immediately.

06.01.2022 Below is the information on participation requirements from VicPol. The main points seem to be: 50% reduction across the board on participations for the year.... They all can be done at least 5 days (call it 6) so that should be easy to get all required shoots/matches done by the end of the year You don’t need to apply for this reduction its calculated automatically You can apply for a further reduction if needed (before the end of the year) Here is the link https://www.police.vic.gov.au/firearms-forms-and-reference-
